Lake Siskiyou RV Resort

I have frequented this RV campground several times over many years.  It is sad to see it becoming run down. The once paved interior roads are now barely discernable dirt paths. They also have a fee for locking in your chosen campground site for an additional $35 fee?!?!? Once you have waited for a specific site/s to become available to reserve, under what circumstances would they deem it reasonable to move you to another site without your consent?  I luckily did not (will not) pay the additional fee, and 90% of the campground was vacant the week I was there. That guaranteed reservation fee is just a scam to get more money out of you. The costs of the sites are not cheap to begin with.

Large, clean & strict

Large space with tons of camp sites. I took camp spot 28 and had plenty of space behind me and around me. Tons of rules here, but can tell the camp ground is well maintained and nothing unreasonable. Friendly staff, shoutout to Fernanda 🤙🏽

Needs work.

Very large park. Does not look like any money has been invested in a long time. Lots of amenities but poor condition. 3 star because of full hookups. Worst marked loops ever.

This campground is excellent!! Great amenities and very fun.

The only reason i did not give this a 5 star is the outdated information and no notifications posted of events or schedules.  The don't have a schedule for the theater, it's just random and at the employees discretion from my understanding.  At the splash zone the paperwork was outdated, and had rules for a dock that doesn't exist.  The shower code didn't work.  They advertise a shower near the day use area and there isn't.

Incredible Place

We just stayed in October 2023 and had the most peaceful time we could imagine. Very quiet, not too crowded this time of year, and absolutely beautiful. Can’t wait to come in the spring / early summer.

Great camping for tent or RV

We highly recommend this campground as they have all the amenities…a general store, boat rental, cabin rental, activities for the kiddos, a dog park and pub. Water, toilets and showers are readily available, though a bit in need of a good coat of paint and showers need cleaning/updating .

Great Campground with lots to do

This campground was the favorite of the trip. The tent sites are well spaced, the check-in process was quick and you got to speak to someone to get a map and ask any questions too. The store had everything you could've possibly forgotten, along with soft serve ice cream. The bar/restaurant had live music until 10pm. The lake and marina was a short walk. And the campground was located near the cutest downtown area of Mount Shasta. If you want dinner in town, check out Yak's for the best burger ever! This resort is great for groups, saw a lot of groups that were there for at least a week. Lots of bear activity warnings, but I didn't have any issues. Bathrooms and showers were pretty clean, nice and hot with good water pressure. Would absolutely stay here again!

A lot of room

All the spots were pretty big, beautiful forest and some nice trails nearby. About a 30 minute drive from the bunny flat trail at mount shasta. There aren’t Many toiletbuildings so you have to walk further and it’s pretty busy at times.

Great place. Friendly staff, and lots of activities. Love coming here.

The third time I've been to Lake Siskiyou and I'll be back. I have to say, the only reason my review has four stars instead of five is the sewer set up at my site. Gotta say the other times I've been here it hasn't been an issue. This time, my site 264 had a clean out that was about as high or higher than my trailer outlet. Caused some frustrations, but got them dumped for the most part. They have a dump station at the park exit. If I had realized in time, I would have used that dump site. Not a big, but note worthy.

My favorite new lake!

I am in LOVE with this place!!!! I have been to many lakes in northern California but nothing as perfect as this place. I accidentally booked a spot here at Siskiyou but meant to go to lake Shasta and boy was luck on my side!!! We drove past lake Shasta on our way here and it didnt have many trees and it was 104 degrees. We drove another 40 or so minutes to lake Siskiyou and the trees are so beautiful and you have the most gorgeous view of lake Shasta! Do yourself and your family a favor and book your next camping trip here!

Grew up camping at Siskiyou

Whether with family or the Girl Scouts, Siskiyou was a repeat camping destination growing up. The lovely red earth, thick green trees and uniquely beautiful blue/teal water makes for a welcoming lake day for all ages. My cousins and I used to fish in the evenings after a day of playing in the water or hiking. Have seen deer and bears here

Great Family Camping

We took 2 small children in a rented camper and went to this lake in a recommendation from friends in Mt. Shasta .. we were not disappointed! They were plenty of trees in the campground everybody was friendly, short walk with our water toys to the nice sandy beach and lake. We rented kayaks One day and the next we rented a pontoon boat and our friends joined us. We found a rope swing hanging on a tree and tied up and did some rope swing fun into the lake. We also enjoyed a short drive up to Castle lake at a higher elevation a lot less people not much sand but really nice for a picnic lunch. Everybody really had a great time.

Clean, Quiet and Peaceful

I didn't know what to expect from Lake Siskiyou, but I am happy to report it was better than I expected. There are so many campsites for Tents and Rv's with outlets and private water spigots. The firepits have a grate on them so you don't have to worry about your pots falling in. There are no bear encasements for your food, so you will have to pack it back up in your car. Also, bring food tents, there are a lot of wasps. Some nights we ate in the cars.

On the lake, they have giant floating devices that are $8 an hour for people to play on. You have to wear a lifejacket. The water is not very cold, but it is refreshing! They also have a little restaurant that you can purchase "bar food" and grab a beer. It was a nice place to visit, even during the pandemic.

Couldn’t ask for a better location

The beach is equipped with all the water toys (floating slides, rafts, etc.) you could ask for. Kayaks, paddle boards, and pontoon boats are available to rent. The camp store is well equipped and even has soft serve ice cream. The beach is sectioned off for social distancing. The camp sites are in the tall pine trees just steps away from the lake. I come back every year! Swimming in the lake is great!

Great weekend in Mount Shasta

How fantastic the whole Mount Shasta region is at this time of year. No mosquitoes! The Lake was crowded this week but the water was clean and great for swimming. Lake Siskiyou is a great base camp for exploring Lee Shasta wilderness.

Tip. stock up on supplies at Ray's in mount shasta city. The camp ground store is predictably expensive

Everything you could want!

Truly and amazing place! I’m looking forward to going back after Covid. We met our family half way and wanted a campground we could all find easily. It’s a bit pricey but for the convenience it was well worth it! Tent sites are huge and so is the campground! We stayed pretty far away from the beach and we were all by ourselves! Might try some of the dispersed camping in the area and use the campground day use and store next time?

Pretty fun

Nice, lots of amenities. Minus one star because of the cold shower that should have been hot. Other than that, the beach is nice, the tent sites are nice. A bit bustling busy during the summer, great for kids

Large, spaced out sites, water & bathrooms, serentiy

If you don't mind quite a few neighbors, this campground is awesome. There are numerous spaces and you can really get far away from people if you'd like to- as the bulk of them stay nearest the water.  There are bathrooms, flush toilets, showers, a café, ice cream shop, and kayak/paddleboard/paddleboat rentals at the lake- not to mention a huge inflatable play area. The campground is large and spacious- enshrouded by gorgeous mixed conifers and tons of wildflowers- all with a view of Mount Shasta and lake access. What could be better for a large campground really? Only 4 miles outside of Mount shasta City. Beautiful!

Nice but over priced for the condition of the sites

aThis is a nice campground in Northern California with lots of things to do from boating on low MPH lake - fishing - trails around lake and a swimming hole. We've been coming here for years and over the past 5 or so they have let a lot of debris lay aroung the campsites and have cut down most the shade trees but still a fun place to camp i gave it a 3 star based on the price and over all condition of the sites
