About 5 miles off main highway, on the edge of Lake Simtustus, they have boat sliis, pontoon boats and kayaks to rent. Nicely spaced camp sites, and clean restrooms. 200 foot drop from office to lakeside, but the provide golf carts at no extra charge to go up and down the hill!
Very nice park in a wooded setting. Hosts are very helpful, small store with essentials at a reasonable price. Sites are well spaced and gravel. Nice fishing pond (catch and release). Military discount given.
The nicest RV park on our trip from Connecticut to Nevada! Clean and modern with paved streets, nicely spaced with mature trees (something you don’t often find in the desert!). Located behind a small casino that has a restaurant, and only $40.00 per night. You won’t find anything better on I 80 in Nevada!
Not a place to spend a long stay, but very good for an overnight. Inexpensive and close to I 80. Clean tiled restroom. Sites are gravel and not very spacious. Very little vegetation but that is true of most of Wyoming; at least I was able to find all Dish satellites! 😁
I found the one star review to be unfair. They didn’t even stay here. We found the host personable and helpful. The park itself is OK for an overnight stay. Not much to offer longer term stays. Sites were well spaced and wooded. Full hookups. Nice play ground for kids. Bathrooms just OK.
North end of N. Platte, right on River. Rate has increased to $10.00/night. Only negative is no hookups. You must be self contained. Grounds are immaculate. Relatively Quiet, some noise closer to street. Some sites will accommodate up to 50’, most are for 25’. Toilets, but no showers.
Beautiful setting on two small rivers with shade. Full hookups, spacious sites. Nice pool and hot tub. Clear view to south for satellite TV.
The beach is equipped with all the water toys (floating slides, rafts, etc.) you could ask for. Kayaks, paddle boards, and pontoon boats are available to rent. The camp store is well equipped and even has soft serve ice cream. The beach is sectioned off for social distancing. The camp sites are in the tall pine trees just steps away from the lake. I come back every year! Swimming in the lake is great!
We stayed overnight in July and the temperature when we arrived was 113 degrees! As such, we were confined to our trailer. The price was very reasonable, $30.00 per night. Our site backed up to a large grassy area, but the heat had killed most of the grass. The sites are well spaced. The beach area on the Colorado River looked very inviting, but the ambient temperature prevented us from taking advantage of it. I can see this would be a great place in the winter, but not so great in the summer.
Very clean well managed park. Location can’t be beat. Bus stops right in front of entrance for a 15 minute bus ride to downtown historic area. Sites are well spaced. Lots of trees for shade. Would definitely stay here again.
Sites 50 through 82 are in the back away from the highway and very quiet. 33 through 44 are back in sites and front the highway and are noisier. 50 to 82 have 20 feet of grassy space between sites, I highly recommend these sites. They also have trees to provide shade. Some sites have multiple sewer dumps so your positioning of your rig is less of a problem. They accept the Dyrt Pro card for a 10% discount. All level sites. 😊
Spacious gravel sites in the trees. Clean restrooms and friendly helpful staff.
5 stars for the setting in the pines overlooking the lake with spacious sites (except those along side the lake). 3 stars for lack of cell service and no WiFi . I would definitely stay again. Owner very helpful and attentive . Sites are on a tiered hillside so most have a view of the lake.
Set on a hillside overlooking a valley, it is a pretty setting, but no working toilets or shower. No WiFi, no pool, no pond or river, nothing for kids. There is a small laundromat. Most of the sites are ‘seasonal permanent’ and very few were there; so it is very quiet. OK for an overnight stay.
Well located to Milwaukee, nice clean facilities, but it is basically a large parking lot with a band of grass on the far right as you enter. We took an electric only site on the far right and were backed up against a band of grass. Full hookup sites are all blacktop. Not a place for recreation, but good as a base for Milwaukee attractions.
All pull through sites. Not a lot of room between sites, but adequate. Restrooms are a bit far from the sites but very clean and tiled. The entrance is about a block from Wall Drug, conveniently located.
Clean restrooms, spacious grassy sites, heated swimming pool friendly staff.
