This is a beautiful campground, heavily forested area. The sites were well spaced out and had plenty of parking. It is a large campground so it is easy to get turned around. Bathrooms and showers were very clean and empty every time I went in. Also tons of open sites even though it is was 4th of July week. Lots of dead firewood, tinder, and kindling around, so no need to bring/buy any. Crater Lake north entrance is very close, and some beautiful day use areas at Diamond Lake where the Verizon cell signal is very strong. The only downside is the mosquitoes. They were absolutely awful at all times of day, no reprieve unless in your tent. I grew up in the midwest, and the mosquito situation here rivaled our humid summer infestations back home, even though Broken Arrow is at 5,000 ft. too.

This campground was the favorite of the trip. The tent sites are well spaced, the check-in process was quick and you got to speak to someone to get a map and ask any questions too. The store had everything you could've possibly forgotten, along with soft serve ice cream. The bar/restaurant had live music until 10pm. The lake and marina was a short walk. And the campground was located near the cutest downtown area of Mount Shasta. If you want dinner in town, check out Yak's for the best burger ever! This resort is great for groups, saw a lot of groups that were there for at least a week. Lots of bear activity warnings, but I didn't have any issues. Bathrooms and showers were pretty clean, nice and hot with good water pressure. Would absolutely stay here again!

This campground was very close to Lassen NP, which is convenient. Check-In is simply looking at your name on the board and finding your campsite, which is not clear from the confirmation email. It would've been nice to speak to a host to get the lay of the land. The vault toilets in the tent area are very dark even during the day, and are not well maintained. The showers were also very dirty with dead bugs everywhere. The trail down to Mill Creek while short, is incredibly steep and narrow. The creek itself is beautiful and you can hear it while you fall asleep which is nice. The tent sites in the upper numbers are well spaced out. And there are deer in the area that come right by your site :) Mosquitoes were not bad at all even right next to the creek. I would maybe try another campground that came recommend from a fellow tent camper while at this one. Also, I couldn't get a cell signal for Verizon the whole time I was at the campground.
