Glen Helen
Campsite is clean and it has nice Mountain View’s. It is next to a busy highway so it has all the noise of the cars and trucks but If that doesn’t bother you, this is a good spot. It is dry, with a few trees that separate the RV camp sites. Ground is dusty so bring an outdoor rug for sure! It’s not one I would “look forward” to staying at but ok for a few nights if needed
Do not book here
I booked in advance, and paid the reservation fee, and received a confirmation email. The email said that another email would be sent the day of arrival with the gate code. No such email came. When we arrived, at 5:30pm, the gate was locked, and there was nobody available to answer the phone or contact at all. We had to stay at a hotel.
Not bad but could be decieving
The campground wasn't terrible, as it had alot of amenities like showers, bathrooms, dump station, fire pits, picnic tables, etc. The front gate was kind of odd and annoying at times as you would have to wait but once it was open some people would sneak into the campground during the day basically for free... there is virtually zero grass(ALL dirt!) And the spots are not paved. The highway and trains are nonstop all night so be ready for some noise. We stayed over a week here and wish would would have honestly went up the road to one of their sister campgrounds but we paid in full from the start.. Probably good for a 1 or 2 day thing but that's about it. Positives are that it's a good location for places to hike in the nearby mountains and is good to access the highway to get to San Bernardino and surrounding areas. On an average day it's about a 1.5-2 hour drive to L.A./Santa Monica.
