A bit unlevel but I was too amazed by the number of open pull through spots.
Just east of Lake Charles in Iowa, LA. Paved sites, lights, wifi, spacious, big rig friendly, staff friendly. Received first time customer discount! Will stop again when passing through.
Long spots, friendly owner, easy access to hardware store across the street, coin laundry available. Downsides is wifi is poor, gravel is unlevel, limited menu on DoorDash. Would visit again for the great rate.
I have a large motorhome and pulling a long enclosed trailer. Called in to book a one-night stay to confirm which spot is best for my length and easy to get around, the rep said spot 50 was best (our phone conversation kept cutting out so I opted to book online). The website was very easy and modern to use and I paid $66 for the recommended spot that had a picnic table and string lights (as well as 50 amp, water, sewage). The rep said to follow the texted directions instead of gps because gps route is not rv-friendly, that was such a joke. The “rv friendly directions” included an 8 mile hilly and windy road that turned into dirt halfway through with LOTS of potholes, quick turns, and SKINNY roadways. Driving in a night was very sketchy and then leaving in the morning was worse to finally see the area I was staying in, was not quite family-friendly. It made sense why DoorDash and Uber eats did not service the area. The nice string lights I paid for did not work. The paved pad for my spot barely fit my RV and made my trailer bottom out and scratch when pulling out. The turns around the park were big rig friendly once in but not so much going out. Will not be visiting again. I guess my only plus was the dumpster open for use.
I called in late and was very surprised and delighted for someone to answer. I provided details that I had a long RV plus a trailer and will need a pull through spot with full hookup. She said it will be no problem getting in but may need help getting out in the morning. The driveways and turns are not exactly big-rig friendly as some other campsites. No problem with hookups or staff. And yes had to do quite a non-fun manouver to get out of there, so will most likely not be back. My only other comment is when we were pulling the slides in and jacks up I got a phone call from the office lady telling me she’s sees I’m getting ready to leave and wants to make sure I come pay. I had every intention to pay on my drive out, but this seemed like an odd idea to her to stop on the way out. Prices were a bit high for the area, wifi good.
Called in day of for reservation for 1 night, very friendly. Great spot that fit us, had to back up in the morning to dump black tank but that’s not that big of a deal. Would stay again.
Our first time taking an RV to a casino and LOVED that they had a rv park with full hookups. They offered to shuttle us to the casino and they did not have anyone available to shuttle us back so we walked but it wasn’t too far. While the slots were noticeably tighter than usual being an Indian reservation, we still had a nice time. DoorDash even found us so that’s a plus.
Came here for a convention at Cal Expo, very convenient. While here there were incidents of someone (homeless?) pulling on our grey/black tank valves to open them and another night hearing someone jostling with the main door handle. I then locked up the bay doors for sanitary and electrical and didn’t have any problems after that. I notified camp security, friendly. Very spread out which is good for a long class A pulling a trailer. I only have 2 complaints: the first, management….When making reservation over phone, the associate needed my card number but couldn’t tell me my total. I came in after office hours and picked up pamphlet with spot number. A day or two later I got a phone call from them stating I should have checked in and have not paid. I made the person aware i paid over the phone with my card and she insisted that is not how it is done then proceeded to tell me she had my card number and could charge the total if I wanted to. It was a bit too snippy of a conversation to have with a customer. The first day we were there, our neighbors truck was parked in our spot and we waited a minute or two for them to realize and move. They did, but just as they finished moving the manager came over telling them they were “red-flagged and not welcome back” for that incident. A bit far for a two minute delay for us, which we did not complain about, but the neighbor did say they had an issue of someone lurking around the campground “looking for something to steal”. Before arriving, I called to make sure packages could be delivered so I had an Amazon package delivered a couple days into my reservation, i was over at the convention center long hours so did not have time to pick it up until the last day of my reservation. On the way out, I stopped by the office and they claimed to have never received a package for me even though it said delivered to receptionist. I let it go and got my money back from Amazon. About 45 minutes later after leaving the campground, I call the main cal expo office and they also say there’s no package. I then almost immediately receive a phone call from the RV park stating they had my package…I’m like ????? My second complaint would be the address itself. The RV park should have a separate house number from the expo itself, so I had to direct DoorDash to follow the signs posted directing to the RV park. Will use this park again next year despite the minor incidents.
Has an after-hours Dropbox for spot picking. We found a large pull through since we had a class A pulling a trailer. LOTS of other options in this little town if no spot available. RV service and parts around the corner and local market. 50⚡️ 💧👍
Came in for a convention in Ontario, better alternative than Fairplex park. Very spacious and good for big rigs. LOTS of activities for families (splash pad). Reservations online not too bad, only thing is it will says electricity only but I have had water hookup at all of my spots (changed spots cause i kept booking one night at a time and it was getting busy during Halloween time). Would visit again. 50⚡️ 💧👍. There’s a dump station, but a couple spots with dump but they were always booked. I will book ahead next time.
Convenient location as nothing else was around but literally in the middle of no where. Big spacious site for class A pulling a trailer but the hookups were too spread apart that we had to back up in the morning to release black tank. The roads were quite uneven and tight when exiting in the morning. 50 ⚡️ 💩🥴 💧👍
I love the ability to come in and pick a spot and pay in the morning. It was so easy and convenient especially being the closest place. Loved i didn’t have to get online or talk to anyone at an office. They are VERY organized with arrows, labels, and instructions. Highly recommend. And yes, everyone raves about the dog park but i don’t have pets but it was really big.
Reserved online which was neat-o, and checked in via email link so i didn’t have to go in anywhere. But the email didn’t have the gate code so we had to call for that. We originally booked an end spot because we are a large motorhome pulling a trailer, but the person taking us to our spot felt we wouldn’t be able to fit and took us to a different spot (i do not feel the description length and width for spot C1 was correct). The new spot was over two bridges (which were quite uneasy to go over knowing how much weight we were plus tow and were a bit too skinny for my taste) which we got over. The back part seemed more clean and spread out than the front which made it easier to get around and park in our spot. Very friendly and a better choice than those further into SLC.
Called in for a one night stay for a class A pulling a trailer. I was told i would need to unhitch the trailer, which I have never had to do at a campsite then followed by asking me the year of my motor home. After looking at their website, it made a bit more sense, quite disappointed by their business structure, going to Echo Island RV Resort instead.
Called in they said they were closed but i could pay and park anywhere. Very grateful because nearby places were full. We were parked in the back section, no problems. 50⚡️ 💩👍 💧👍
Easy on off from highway, cute little place but still fit a big rig towing a trailer. DoorDash in area is convenient. 50 ⚡️💩👍💧👍
Drove in with our class A pulling a trailer and called ahead, friendly staff was able to accommodate us with a pull through spot that was easy access, a slip to pay via Dropbox in the morning, and the hookups we needed (50⚡️, 💩, 💧). Easy access to highway and not far from a cute little town (Hudsonville??) where we found a really good Mexican place and a Meijer’s. Would visit again when passing through.
After a long work day and night at a convention center, my family and I are desperate for somewhere to plug in for the night at 6am and find this place on the map. I knew it was too late in the night to call ahead, so the plan was to find a spot to sleep and pay them in the morning. As soon as we parked, the manager rolled up in her car and found my late night parking unreasonable and shamed me for coming in late. As if working late and having no nearby campsite was my fault. She first requested $75 and i explained we just need to sleep until daylight so she said it is $55 and needed to be paid now. I paid her in cash and she again scorned me for coming in late and that I should be out in the morning like I stated. In the morning I checked her rates online and it’s supposed to be $45 for the 50 amp hookup. No problem with the site, just management.
Easy in easy out for one night. Lots of space, i used 50 amp, full hookup, no problems.
