Gamaliel Park includes shaded, spacious sites that welcome pets. This Corps of Engineers campground on Norfork Lake features electric hookups, water access, and clean bathrooms with most campsites offering views of the lake. Pets must remain leashed throughout the camping areas. Other pet-friendly options include Robinson Point and Cranfield Park, both offering water and electric hookups for RVs along with tent sites. Sites at Bidwell Point Park accommodate various camping styles including tents, RVs, and even pet-friendly cabins. Campgrounds maintain clean grounds with designated pet relief areas, though sites can become crowded during summer holidays and weekends.
North Fork Recreation Area provides large, shaded campsites along the river where pets can enjoy the natural environment while remaining leashed. The campsites feature good spacing though without privacy barriers between them. Paved roads and sites accommodate both tents and RVs, with hiking trails accessible directly from the campground where dogs can explore alongside owners. The Blue Spring Trail offers moderately difficult hiking with views of the North Fork River. Patrick Bridge Access offers free camping with river access, though the water isn't considered swim-friendly for children or pets. During summer months, be prepared for higher temperatures and bring sufficient water for pets. Most campgrounds in the area remain open seasonally from April/May through October/November.
