The river is a place for relaxation, as well as being a great place to fish or just hang out with friends. The river also provides an opportunity for learning about nature and wildlife.

The sound of birds is one of the most beautiful sounds on Earth. It is a sign of life, it is a sign of hope. Birds are plentiful along the river and you are sure to enjoy the concert that they have prepared specially for you.

There's no need to drive too far from Little Rock – in fact, you can find a great campsite just across the Arkansas River from P. Allen Smith's famous Moss Mountain farm. This spot is teeming with wildlife, and you may even be able to catch some fish or watch Eagles soar. Stargazing is strongly encouraged here – under a dark sky, the stars appear big and bright.

We are in the country and there are no fences. You may be greeted by neighborhood dogs. We have never experienced any aggression and most of them are happy to get pet by our guests. If they are bothering you, simply provide a stern, "go home" and they usually will leave you be. On the other hand if you pet and feed them they will be your new best friend.

We host on the dyrt because we love the outdoors. We love traveling across the country, exploring, and experiencing new things. We are fortunate enough to have found our slice of heaven and we're so excited to share it with other travelers from near and far. It often becomes an opportunity to hang out with like minded people and make new friends.



Tranquility on the Arkansas River

This is a small .62 acre lot in a forested area with privacy and seclusion. Located .1 miles from Museum of Automobiles and 1.5 miles from Petit Jean State Park.

The circle drive allows Class B motorhomes or small trailers to access camping area near unnamed intermittent creek. Recently completed horseshoe court and both North and South walk in tent pads provide two new options for tent placement.

Petit Jean SP is Arkansas' first state park and is the second most visited park in Arkansas. Fabulous day hiking or overnight backpacking in and around the park. Also, nearby is a petting zoo, horseback riding and farmers market.

Maumelle Campground sits along the beautiful Arkansas River, offering boating, fishing and birding for outdoor enthusiasts. Recreation The Nuttall Trail runs through the park, offering visitors hiking opportunities. Anglers will find a selection of crappie, bream, hybrid bass, white bass and more. A boat ramp is provided for campers to enjoy the river. Maumelle Campground offers 128 spacious campsites with electric hookups, along with eight large group picnic shelters. Amenities include a dock, hot showers, a boat ramp and playground. The campground is set on the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System, a series of navigation pools used to help ships navigate upstream toward Oklahoma. The Arkansas River is one of the Mississippi's largest tributaries, flowing 1,450 miles from the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, through to Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. Wintering eagles can be seen in large numbers along the Arkansas River. Most of these eagles migrate from Canada and the U.S. Great Lakes region. Nearby Attractions The Pinnacle Mountain State Park is just two miles from the campground. The 13 mountain trails here range from easy to strenuous, and each one promises captivating scenery. Willow Beach Campground is located near the David D.Terry Lock and Dam of the Arkansas River.   
  
The wealth of recreational opportunities in the Arkansas River Valley provides visitors with endless fun for the whole family. Outdoor activities such as camping, picnicking, boating and sightseeing are favorite pastimes.

## Recreation

Willow Beach has a boat ramp and offers excellent fishing, especially in the old river cutoffs and the tail-waters of the dam and Murry Lock and Dam upstream. Anglers often catch bass, crappie and bream in the Arkansas River.   
  
Hunting is available in nearby forests, and there is duck hunting on the waterways.   
  
On shore, families enjoy picnicking and using the playground.

Willow Beach Campground offers 21 campsites with electric and water hookups, as well as three reservable group picnic shelters for day use. Additional amenities include a dump station, hot showers, a boat ramp and playground.

The park is in a forested area along the riverfront, close to the rolling fields of cotton farms. It is 193 feet above sea level; winters are generally mild and summer temperatures reach the upper 90s with high humidity.   
  
Red fox are frequently seen in the park, along with deer and armadillo, and numerous species of waterfowl live in the water and along the shores.

Willow Beach

James and Jimmilea Berryhill have been hosting guests for the past 7 years. With over 200 excellent reviews on various platforms and many returning guests, the Berryhills want to make your vacation or work stay as easy as possible. Jubilee Farms Campground is located 15 miles from Malvern, Arkansas just off Hwy 9 South. It is surrounded by thousands of acres of woodland, a few small farms, and all the sounds of the great outdoors. As a tent, RV, and nightly rental site, Jubilee offers easy access to all camping sites, full water, and electric hookups for 4 RV campsites, and multiple places for tent camping. The farm has three ponds for catch-and-release fishing, a play spot for children, swings for adults, a hammock, lawn chairs, charcoal grills for guests, and a small dipping pool during the season. There is a lovely spot by the lake with a fire pit, lots of walking area in the 80 acres, games on the lawn (badminton, volleyball), and entertainment from the ducks and chickens. We offer fresh eggs to campers most of the time (when the chickens are willing). We are a Christian family and there are three other families living on the farm full-time. The farm is mostly open grassland with some wooded areas. Restrictions include: no parties unless approved, no recreational drugs allowed, no smoking other than in your tented area or RV (remember safety with any fire), no fires except in grills or the designated firepit, quiet time 10 pm - 7 am, no entering private yards without permission. We are 35 miles from Hot Springs where Lake Hamilton, Lake Catherine and Lake Degray offer every possible swimming, fishing, and boating experience. We are just 5 miles from Cox Creek Lake (a local fishing lake somewhat larger than on our land). We are a family-friendly campground and welcome friendly, respectful guests to enjoy this lovely place.

Years ago this area saw major civil war battles, the Oak trees at Jenkins Ferry are huge and have a story to tell. Much of the land in the area had been logged heavily and even this land was clear cut. It is now a thriving pine forest, the land owner is working to coexist with the animals and nature.

## Overview

Tar Camp Park is situated near Pool 5 Lock and Dam on the Arkansas River.   
  
The campground is known for its beauty and first-class fishing. Whether camping, fishing, boating or just relaxing in the sun, this area provides something for everyone.

## Recreation

The campground is popular among fishermen. There is excellent catfish fishing in the tail-waters of Joe Hardin Lock and Dam as well as Emmitt Sanders Lock and Dam at the upstream end of Pool 3. Anglers often catch bass, crappie and bream.   
  
Hunting is available in nearby forests, and there is duck hunting on the waterways.   
  
On shore, families enjoy picnicking and using the playground.

Tar Camp Campground offers more than 50 sites, most with electric and water hookups. Each campsite has a movable lamp post and grill, as well as campfire rings and picnic tables.   
  
Two large group picnic shelters that can each accommodate up to 60 people each can be reserved for day use.   
  
A rock climbing wall and basketball court provide additional recreation opportunities.
