Would definitely return

I came here maybe 4 yrs ago. I wasn’t a big hiker but I was young and in good shape. It was so hot and the trail was a little confusing at times. Not many people so if you’re looking for some good exercise and solitude this is for you. Passed a couple on the way up and only one other camp site…

Lots of Coyotes

It’s a nice spot plenty of places to setup. You will probably feel better having a gun as we heard coyotes from 3 directions of us.

Patagonia lake

Campsites are a little close together. Not much shade so you have to be real familiar with the campsite to pick the perfect spot with shade trees and lake views. At the time we went the sewage dumping station was closed. They do now have a small market across from the beach for certain supplies.…

Totally solid campsite, free so the price is right!

I pulled in pretty late at night, so wasn't sure what to expect. Nice big campsites, not a lot of privacy though. Almost all of them have mesquite trees with lots of dead branches that you are allowed to collect for firewood, which is super helpful!

This is an old cattle ranch, so it's pretty…

Fantastic geological location. Great hosts and full hookups along with Casitas. Highly recommended! Will stay there again.

Large campground in Mt Lemmon

Spencer Canyon campground in Mt Lemmon is nestled under the pine trees and boasts a 15-20 degree drop in temperature from nearby Tucson. Bear boxes are provided as are vaulted toilets. I’ve seen trailers travel down the canyon, but I wouldn’t try it. The roads are steep and narrow. Perfect for tent…

Get there early and be rewarded

I don’t pay for camping too often but glad I did here. Just passing through on an AZ trip and decided to pay for a couple nights just to relax.

This CG is huge with 60+ sites (can’t remember exactly how many) however they do fill up quick prior to the weekend. It’s in a wonderful area off the…

Perfect for big groups

This campground boasts several group sites, complete with plenty of parking, large gazebos with multiple grills for your group gatherings, and tent pads scattered throughout. The tent pads are not close together, giving you the privacy you need to retreat to your tent but still close to the…

Quaint and convenient!

Very easy to find, just outside the Saguaro National Park (West District). The sites and loops were very well maintained and had some beautiful views. Bathrooms were well kept and dumpsters were convenient to find. All sites had picnic tables and seating, some of them had canopies that were nice to…

Nice and convenient to town

First time taking our 30’ travel trailer out. Selected Patagonia because it’s close to home base and there was dispersed camping available. Traveled on a weekday and arrived early. Found a site tucked back enough from the road so road noise wasn’t a issue. After we unhooked we explored further down…

Perfect for overnight

This campground is perfect for quick overnight visits. It’s just off the freeway with full hookups. It’s near the train tracks and out in the middle of the desert (and not the pretty part of the desert). But the views of the mountains are nice.

Well kept

This is a well maintained facility. Friendly people. Close to Tucson. Cable and wifi. Pet friendly. Sites are close together but when we visited, we were spaced well.
