Best Cabin Camping near Fredonia, AZ

Several cabin rental options exist near Fredonia, Arizona, primarily in neighboring Utah communities that provide access to Zion National Park and surrounding attractions. Country Rose RV Park offers a cabin rental in Arizona, while Grand Plateau RV Resort, Crazy Horse RV Resort, and Mount Carmel Motel & RV Park provide cabin accommodations across the border in Utah. Most cabins feature electrical hookups, beds, and climate control systems. According to one visitor, "The facilities are immaculate and the staff is super friendly and helpful." Bathrooms and showers are typically available as communal facilities at the campgrounds rather than inside individual cabins.

Cabin accommodations range from basic overnight options to more substantial units suitable for extended stays. Most locations require reservations, particularly during peak seasons when visiting nearby national parks. Pet policies vary by location, with many campgrounds allowing pets but imposing restrictions. While some properties like Grand Plateau RV Resort operate year-round, others like Mount Carmel Motel & RV Park operate seasonally from March through October. A camper noted that Mount Carmel Motel & RV Park offers "hot and very clean showers" with "reliable WiFi" making it comfortable for longer stays.

Visitors to cabin rentals should verify what amenities are included with their accommodation. Basic furnishings are standard, but guests typically need to bring their own linens, pillows, towels, and toiletries. Kitchen facilities vary significantly between properties, with some offering only minimal provisions. The town of Kanab, Utah, located near several of these cabin options, provides grocery stores, restaurants, and supply shops. Cabin guests can find necessary provisions there before arriving at their accommodation. Most campgrounds with cabins also maintain on-site convenience stores for essential items and supplies.

    Zion River Resort

    Cabin review

Check in was fast and smooth. Got the key and remote for the tv then head to the cabin that was around the way from the office/pool area. Sheets was provided for the queen bed but not the bunk beds. Which was fine because we were ready with our own sheets. Rest room and shower was right in front of our cabin, so we didn’t have to walk far. Good ac unit and lighting the with number of windows they got. Overall a great experience from our 1 night stay.

South Campground — Zion National Park

    Great campground

This campground is great for exploring Zion National Park. Each campsite has a fire pit and picnic table. There are restrooms with running water and electricity. Only a short walk from a shuttle station and Visitor’s Center. We also had deer around our campsite every morning and evening.

Water Canyon Cliffside Cabin L and L

Stunning views of the Canaan Mountains

I'm a team member at The Dyrt kicking off the review section with some info from the campground's website.

Water Canyon Cliffside offers a secluded wilderness experience. Each tent site has space for parking, a fire pit, and picnic table. They also have a mini cabin and a canvas tent available to stay in!

There are hiking trails within walking distance, mountain biking trails nearby, and Zion National Park is only an hour drive away!

Bryce View Campground — Kodachrome Basin State Park

Fantastic Views from the Bryce View Campground

We stayed in the Bryce View campground which has no hookups. We prefer boondocking spots because they typically have more space between campsites, and this is true in Kodachrome. Bryce View Campground is down a short dirt road and most sites are pull-throughs. If you need to use a generator, they are only allowed between the hours of 12pm to 4pm. Bryce View had vaulted toilets, water faucets, and a large trash bin. All sites had beautiful views but 52 and 56 appear to have the best. Our site was level and from what we could see most the other sites were equally level. Table and fire pits are available at all the sites. The max trailer length allowed is 20ft. Our trailer is 20ft and we had no issues maneuvering. The campground is quite and well maintained. If you prefer hookups the Basin Campground has what you are looking for. However, the sites are much closer together. Be aware when we used the Dump site it was awfully close to some of the Basin Campsites. The RV dump site has two stations and has potable and non-potable water. Showers and laundry facility are also available.

    Zion RV and Campground (Hi-Road)

    Hi-Road Campground (Zion)

Great campsite right down the road from Zion. Only about $45/night and you get clean nice showers and clean bathrooms. There’s free WiFi, laundry facilities, and a game room. Also a nice little restaurant within walking distance (right across the street). Several campsites to choose from - we picked a more secluded one (although it was very close to other sites and near the highway). Picnic tables, table, grill and fire rings at most sites. Access to showers and bathrooms and other amenities 24/7. Great place to stay and they say they always have spots open for last minute check-ins. Will definitely go back in the future and highly recommend!

South Campground — Zion National Park

    Book ahead of time!

This is by far on of my favorite National Parks. The campground is fairly large (100 + spots) but very hard to secure a spot, make sure to book ahead of time! Zion has some rules about booking ahead so check the website to know when to make a booking. We managed to get a spot last minute but it was a walk in spot. These are a problem if you have a lot of stuff but you can avoid some crowds with them. The views right from the campground are incredible and the rest of the park is overwhelmingly fun.

The campground has plenty of vault toilets, picnic tables, water and trash bins. There are other campgrounds in the park as well as outside if this is full. Caution that the grounds outside the park can be pricey and are nothing special.

    Zion River Resort

    Wonderful Camping Experience!

We camped in one of the cabins for the first night because there was no availability for the campground sites. It was entirely worth the money! The back bunk beds were super cozy & we enjoyed a bed after being in a tent for the precious week. The campground site the next night was wonderful as far as campgrounds go. The ground was level & covered with fine gravel. The sites are not very big & you’re right up next to other campers; but it’s all you need when you spend the majority of the day out in Zion & just come back to eat dinner & sleep. The electricity was nice to have for charging laptops to import/edit photos of the day’s adventures. The showers were a real treat because they were included with the campground. The bathrooms were in the same room as the showers & there were only two rooms, so if two people were showering, you’d be out of luck for using the restroom anytime soon. Other than that, everything was a such a positive experience. There was free coffee in the main building & also a little shop for anything you may have forgotten—the nearest store is about 20 minutes away. All in all, this place is amazing & I would highly recommend.
