Rjourney Bryce Canyon RV Resort

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Road noise is a non-issue here. Rjourney Bryce Canyon RV Resort sits just outside camping near Cannonville in Utah's Bryce Valley, and while the property borders a road, traffic thins out after dark. The resort is a rebranded KOA Journey, which means the facilities are older but functional, and the bathrooms reviewers consistently flag as clean. Full hookups with electric, water, and sewer make it a workable base for RV travelers moving between parks.

The lower section of the property has dirt roads that turn rocky as the terrain climbs. Reviewers note the upper area may have larger sites, newer bathrooms, and better sightlines toward the surrounding canyon landscape. A pool is on-site, though it was not yet open during a May visit. The fenced pet area and climbing playground add utility for families or campers traveling with dogs. Good Sam members have landed electric and water hookups for around $30 per night.

The resort's strongest asset is its position between Kodachrome Basin State Park and Bryce Canyon, making it a practical overnight stop for hikers who want access to both. "Although next to a road, there is little traffic at night so it was quiet," notes Kim G. Nearby, Bryce Valley Ranch RV and Horse Park offers an alternative a mile north for equestrian travelers. Campers who can snag a reservation at Kodachrome Basin may prefer to stay there, but this resort fills the gap reliably when that option is not available.

Good location near Kodachrome

We stayed here when we couldn't get a reservation at Kodachrome, but wanted to be close enough to go there for hiking. This is an old KOA Journey, re-branded as RJourney. While the facilities are older, it merits 4 stars instead of 3 because of its location, the cleanliness of the bathrooms, and amenities which some people might want (pool, climbing playground, and small fenced pet area). We got a site without a reservation for $30 (electric & water) with our Good Sam Discount. Can't beat the price. Although next to a road, there is little traffic at night so it was quiet. The staff were professional and nice. It is a good stopover point between Kodachrome and Bryce if you want to hike in Kodachrome. We stayed in the lower area. The upper area might have larger sites, newer bathrooms, and better views.

Great Dispersed Location.

There are many sites available along trail. Dirt road at the lower part, gets rocky as you climb. Stayed during weekday. I imagine there would be 4x4 traffic on weekends
