Great spot and views

This spot is at the end of a spur along the fence from the corrals. Best for smaller TTs/RVs...mostly vans, truck campers due to small turn-around. Limited cell. No water, no dumpters, no toilets.

Nice views both ways

This area is close to the livestock corral. Large open sandy area for several camps. The corral does have a sign saying no camping 300ft but that did not seem the case. Views are nice in all directions, some hwy noise but not at nite. Free dispersed on Glen Canyon NPS, BLM is farther down a 4wd road. Cell signal was marginal 1-2 bars. No water, no dumpsters, no toilets. Fire rock rings are scattered. No shooting in this area.

Quiet and close to Page

Great spot near Page. 2 mile dirt road (missed the turnoff at night), big lot. Great for car, RV, or van camping. Really hard rough gravel surface and wouldn’t recommend tenting here. Quiet and good views. Fire rings present.

Gorgeous Views, No Shade

Absolutely stunning sunrise & sunset & you're right next to the white sandstone that separates UT from the AZ border. Super cool spot close to Lake Powell (on the AZ side) as well as Lone Rock (UT) & Horseshoe Bend (in Page). Not far from Hoodoos trail either, highly recommend. No shade at this campsite, please be sure to pack it in, pack it out. Keep this space beautiful!

Beautiful and Convenient

Great spot with views of rock formations. We had a lot of wind over night, unfortunately. Most spots are accessible without 4x4. Can get sandy and rocky the further in you drive. Sadly, we had terrible Verizon service contrary to the previous info. Quick drive into Page.

Quiet spot for all types of campers

This spot is right next to Glen Canyon NRA campsite. Only about 17 to Page and 7 minutes to a Pilot gas station. After you pull off the highway, you will cross 2 cattle grates. The site is about a mile after the second grate. If you see a cattle coral, you have arrived. Keep in mind the sign says to camp at least 300ft away from the coral. The road can be easily driven by all campers (RV, Trailers, ect. No need for 4x4).

There are two large areas to park on across from the coral and one on the far side. Couple fire rings. The road continues (this is the Glen Canyon NRA campsite) closer to a few rock formations, but the road gets rougher and may need 4x4.

No services, pack in, pack out. Verizon service was alright. You can walk to a few rock formations here. Interesting hollows in the rock walls.

Free spot with some good views

I thought this area was a pretty good place to stay and it was only about 15 min to Page. I found the the best place was once you crossed the second cattle grate near some cattle stables. There was plenty of room to turn around. There was a couple other people there while we were but still fairly secluded. To get here when you are headed north on 89 cross over the Utah border and it’s the next road on your left.

Windy And Buggy Night

We got in late so we weren’t able to appreciate the beauty of this campsite but it was a nice, sandy spot with some protection from the wind up against the rocks. The bugs however were relentless and we had to go to bed early so we wouldn’t get attacked. I imagine it would have been better if there wasnt a fire ban.

Close to Page

I arrived on a Saturday afternoon and the end of the road was pretty crowded (at least for my liking) with people already and I have a low clearance car so I didn’t attempt the spur roads up that way. I ended up camping on a little pull off closer to the highway where I saw some old tire tracks and a fire ring already there. I don’t know if this spot is okay to camp in but I went for it. Not an ideal spot, you can see some of the highway and hear the traffic, the views are good though. Also very windy and very sandy, seems like that’s normal from all the other reviews. There are no bathrooms or other amenities

Great pit stop for a night

From AZ first left after the marina on you pass the AZ/UT border. Left at the second cattle guard. It was okay with a Subaru Outback but some spot were soft due to recent flooding. Great spot for a night but I wouldn’t pitch a tent, not a lot of flat space for a tent

Excellent, free dispersal site close to Lone Rock beach

We did some car camping here back in April and it was amazing. The turn for this road is on your right when you are driving away from Lone Rock towards page, just after the marina. We followed the dirt roads to a high point and set up there. It was pretty solid rock so we slept in our car with the tailgate open. We have a Subaru Forester. The views were unreal!

The only issue we had was dealing with the wind blowing out our Coleman stove. But we eventually figured it out.

This is a great site to know about! Remember to pack out all your trash if you visit.

Great views, windy

This camp site has great views, it was very windy when we stayed here. I’m sure it’s not windy all the time. The road in is pretty easy, as you drive in it gets more tough. We had a Subaru and made it just fine.

Beautiful views and FREE!

Stayed 7/18/20- FREE

Our site was situated on a “corner”, overlooking Lake Powell and with beautiful rocks behind us. Coming from AZ, this area is just passed the entrance to Lone Rock Campground, on the left. The turn is just beyond the guard rail. You can see a brown sign off the road some. Once you cross the first cattle guard, you come to an opening with a small trail forward, and a site on the right. Take a left passed the second cattle guard and there is more room to spread out around the abandoned farm equipment. We setup on a“peninsula-like” area. You could see Lake Powell and Lone Rock itself from our site. Would absolutely stay here again. If you’re not looking to be around the crowds of the main campgrounds, this is perfect! No facilities.

Very little AT&T service.
