After hearing about how many spots there are here we thought this would be a great camp site but because it was memorial day weekend we found ourselves driving fairly far up the mountain before we finally found a spot. That being said on a normal weekend there should be no problem since there were 30+ spots in this area

We got in late so we weren’t able to appreciate the beauty of this campsite but it was a nice, sandy spot with some protection from the wind up against the rocks. The bugs however were relentless and we had to go to bed early so we wouldn’t get attacked. I imagine it would have been better if there wasnt a fire ban.

This is one of those campgrounds you dont want people to find out about. Absolutely incredible gem. 4x4 road to get to the site and spots filled up very fast on a Thursday but you are able to camp in the canyon and have a fire among the red rocks

After pulling onto the fire road, there was a ton of space to make camp and even on the Friday night of memorial day weekend, we couldn’t see or hear anyone around us.
