It is surrounded by a thick ponderosa pine forest below the Mogollon Rim. The clear waters of Christopher Creek are less than a mile away. The Mogollon Rim, pronounced by locals as "muggy-own," is a 200-mile long cliff in northern Arizona that ranges between 5,000 and 7,000 feet in elevation. The unique landscape was created by extreme erosion and faulting that has sculpted spectacular canyons and buttes. The rim serves as the geographical dividing line between the cool high country above and the hot, dry desert below.

Clean, quiet, close to plenty

Great, quiet little campsite in immaculate condition. The camp hosts are friendly, informative, and take great care of the grounds. There are vault toilets available close to all sites, and clean running water available as well. The creek was dry while we were here, due to a dry summer, but there's a little waterfall behind the sites during rainier weather. We'll be back!

Beautiful Clean Campground Near Lakes

We stayed here summer of 2020. It was a wonderful trip and we absolutely loved the campground. It was pretty full but it still felt like you had plenty of your own space. The woods surrounding were beautiful and peaceful. Our two young children loved running around and exploring.

It was a dry summer and fire restrictions were in place. There was also a fire in northern AZ that made it a bit smoky, but not too bad. It was unfortunate we couldn’t have a campfire but we made do. The cam hosts were very friendly and kept the vault toilet and area very clean. The campground was close to two beautiful lakes just a short drive away great for fishing. We were in space 021, Juniper Loop. It was beautiful and we would definitely stay there again.

Solid campground

Pretty nice campground, especially with the paved roads for the bikes. It also has a cool creek within a short hike, about 1.5 miles round trip. Overall a nice campground but not necessarily some place I’d go back. Mainly because the lack of shade in the space we were in and a few around us.

Fantastic Campground

We love the Sharp Creek Campground. It is very clean and level and the hosts are very nice and helpful. No hookups but can dump at Ponderosa a few minutes away. They do have water available for RVs on site. Overall, one of our favorites.
