Blanco State Park Campground

Beautiful stunning place and campsite, if you like people

Quaint town square of Blanco with awesome food choices less than a mile walk from the campsite! Super nice people working this state park. Hookups in good shape. Stroll along the river. Great park.

This is a nice little park. Don't expect much. It's probably one of the smallest Texas State parks I've been to. I had 5G service with T-Mobile

The campground is clean level and close to the city

Staff are professional and kept area clean and safe

Beautiful location and facilities. It was difficult for late arrival to see and erroneously enter private cow pastures. Because we arrived late, we had no instructions on locked shower room. Get instructions be c or arrival. Quiet and relaxing. Worth it to spend more time hear.

We selected the park to use as a base for exploring the Texas hill country. In addition to that we had a great time exploring Blanco and the park.

While small, this state park has a nice amount of river front along the Blanco river. The river is dammed creating some really nice sections of water to kayak on. The sites are nice with covered picnic tables and some have sewer hookups. You can walk into Blanco's downtown square without crossing the highway if you cross the river from the campsites and walk towards the highway bridge. You'll find a back entrance into the little park on the square! If you're into road cycling, there is nice riding out of Blanco.

This is a great little park right in the town of Blanco. Sitting right on the river it gives you the feel of being in the country. Nice for swimming, kayaking, and fishing. There is one loop that has FHU’s

This Park is Great, spaces are well laid out, most are separated by small trees and plants. Fire rings and covered tables. The best part of the park is the Blanco River that flows over a dam at the entrance, that is Beautiful, and has a concrete swimming area that is filled from the dam and it overflows into the lower river, where you are allowed to fish. Large trees throughout the park! Most people love this Park!!

This is a great park, right on the banks of the Blanco and right on the edge of downtown Blanco, Tx.

Site 6 had decent trees but we were right in between 2 giant motor coaches, so quiet and rustic it was not, but it was beautiful and we made ample use of the river and swimming areas. Enjoyed the roof over the picnic table.

Restrooms were clean but a little older. No real hiking to speak of but we enjoyed every minute of it. Afterwards we went to town and had some great BBQ.

Not too much to say about this park except that we loved it and will definitely be back, oh and MURDER HORNETS! (Maybe, but prolly not)

Blanco State Park is just beautiful. It sits right on the shores of the Blanco River and we had a gorgeous view of the water. The restrooms were in top shape and our site had a covered picnic table.  In our trip around Texas, this was one of our favorite state parks.  Easy to book online and very inexpensive with our Texas State Parks pass.  We were even able to walk into the cute town of Blanco and enjoy some fantastic BBQ at Old 300!  Would love to return.

We love to visit this small park several times a year. It’s beautiful with views of the Blanco River. My husband hasn’t had any luck catching fish but he still enjoys trying. I love that we can just reserve a site and be there in less than an hour. No need to pack groceries as the park is right off the Main Street. We’ve enjoyed most of their restaurants around their courthouse. It’s great because we don’t have to cook.

Beautiful little park with all the fixings of a larger campground. Large nice camping spaces, but leaves much to be desired in the hiking category. We heard about this park from friends and decided to make a weekend trip and check it out. If you’re looking for a place to just kick back and relax, this place isn’t to shabby. The only real issue was the highway noise from the road that runs right next to the park. Great little swimming areas though.

This is smaller state park but it has everything you need. Larger sites, lots of shade and a cool river to swim in. There aren’t much in the way of hiking trails but to soothe your ills just walk down to the Blanco river and hang out in a tube or just swim. The sites all have a covered table which is really nice during the summer. There is a rock walled area that is the “kiddie pool” area that is really nice to relax in. I would also recommend heading into town and checking out the town square. There are lots of fun little shops.

Nice cool river that you can swim or fish in. Boat rentals are available. It is a small campground that has full hookups. It has sheltered and a pavillion you can rent. I know I'll be back.

Great place for families with young kids, quite atmosphere with lots to explore and plenty of water play. Fishing is not good though, my boys still had fun trying. Bring your water floating things. The camp Host was really helpful and kind.

Great place to take little ones to go fishing.

This park is tucked in the middle of a beautiful hill contry town of Blanco. Great for camping or just a day trip. You can swim, fish, or just relax under the shade trees. Being in town, there are plenty of good and services near by. While your there, visit the Redbud Cafe. Their Blanco Burger is one of the best burgers you will eat.

Great swimming. Shaded campsites. Walking distance into Blanco. On future visits I would choose campsites on the #20 side of the campground for less traffic noise.

We visited the Blanco State Park in February of 2017. This is a small park, but the river is gorgeous. There were two hiking trails, they were both easy enough for us to bring our 2 year old. One of the trails we were even able to bring her stroller. There is a small park with some swings and a slide over looking the river. There are several places to fish, but we didn't catch anything. It was too cold to swim, but this park would be perfect for summer swimming.

Very small, clean, organized campground. 4$ entry, if you reserve in the back some spots are more secluded. Swimming area /small dam. Weekend I was there picnic area, swimming area very crowded.

I love swimming here, it is a nice place to go to. If you live near by you must, MUST go to this park. Great swimming area!

We stopped here on a road trip just to have a picnic and check out the park. We drove through the campsite and really liked that the picnic tables have little shelters/roofs. The campground was a bit wooded which would mean some shade. Sites are not huge or very private, but it was a nice place. We did take a little swim in the river and saw lots of people fishing, as well as took a stroll on the simple nature trail. Nice place :)

This is a really small park. The campsites are okay. There is a small Nature Trail. This would be good for a day, but necessarily for overnight camping.

I was not able to get in the water, due to all the rain they had received, but it is a nice feature.

There is a playground for the kids and a volleyball court.

The reason I ranked this so low is because this park does not have the features I want (lots of hiking trails and primitive camping), however, this would be a great park for families.
