Falling Waters State Park Campground

Has a lake for swimming, small playground for kids, nice trails. Waterfall depends on rainfall however was a nice addition to the hike. Site 7 was close to site 8. We could hear them walking around the inside of their trailer. It was the only site close to another site. 7

Stayed for 4 nights. It was quiet and relaxing. A few fun trails. Voluntary camphost was very nice.

Pretty nice small campground. The hike trails are not that exciting with little to no reward at the end. There is a tiny “waterfall” but not something that’s gonna make you say wow once you get to it.

We were just here for one night passing through. Didn't get to do any trails but sites were spacious, has fire rings and BBQ. Bath house was clean. Very quiet and peaceful. Lots of birds for birdwatching!

Camp sites have been renovated, all new gravel with railroad ties for retaining wall for the gravel.  Sites are all 50/30 amp with water.  Most of the sites are under shade.  It is a small campground with only 20 spots and some are tight if you have a big rig, but there are pull throughs for the big rigs.

Staff was friendly and helpful.

Shower facilities were clean - at least mens.

I'd give it a 5 start but the dump station does not have the hose hookups for flushing your tanks, just draining.  So be sure to fill up your gray tank to wash down he black excretions.

I'll return because it was enjoyable area.

Easy to reach. Boardwalk from campground to sinkhole was closed so you have to get there via car and walk.

Campground spots were sufficient if a little tight. Nice bathhouse with playground swings. Great open field behind volleyball court with fencing all around to burn the dogs’ energy before taking off. Walk to falls from campground was fun with a mixture of dirt, boardwalk, and paved (handicap accessible to the falls). Busy with people but not terrible.

Home to the tallest waterfall in Florida. Easy to park, level sight, quick access to I-10 but very quiet.

Wow. This is a really cool spot. The campground is small and has a really sweet vibe, kind of like circled wagons. The bathrooms are clean and well ventilated (nice during Covid), and the shower stalls are really nice, with locking doors, a place to put your clothes where they actually don't get wet, and nice hot water. I've been traveling across the whole country along I-10, and I've visited wonderful campgrounds, but I think this one will stay in my memory the longest. It's mystical.

The waterfall is breath taking.

Quiet off main roads very easy access

were on site 8 at the campground and it wasn't too bad of a site. In fact, the only bad thing about the campground were the roads inside the campground area itself. Bathhouse looked great, sites were relatively level and well spaced out

Have waited six months into our RV life to start reviews for fair comparisons. Stayed 2 nights in 35 foot RV+tow car in 2 different sites at$27/night. This campground was alright, nothing wrong with it, just nothing too exciting. Waterfall wasn’t very exciting either. The hiking trails were small but very nice, great for walking the dog. Two nights here was plenty.

Clean restrooms. Highest waterfall in Fla that ends in a sink hole. Waterfall has a ramp that leads to an outlook so ADA accessible for viewing. Very short distance from parking lot and was easy with a baby. Lots of hiking and a lake. Sites are semi private.

Small campground. Sites ok. Nice bathhouse. Site of highest waterfall in Florida, ending in a sinkhole. No sewer hookup. Nice weekend destination. Little else in area. 20 miles to caverns, which has its own campground

This was our first time taking the travel trailer out. It was a perfect place. Had swings for the kids near the campground and larger playground at beginning of trails. Nice swimming hole to cool off in and a short walk to see the waterfall and sinkholes. Many restrooms around the park and they were all very clean. My kids loved it.

This is a small campground. Most sites had shrubs between sites so semiprivate. Bathrooms were clean and good hot showers. Good trails through park. Lake area to swim. Waterfall was good size when we went but it depends on rainfall and water levels. Water flows from waterfall into sinkhole. Great little camp everybody was very friendly here. Not far from interstate so there was a good variety of stores if needed.

Not a very big state park but it was very quiet and relaxing. Only about 20 sites total with a very nice restrooms and showers. There was also a spot to wash dishes. Alot of trees so plenty of shade. There are pull through and back in sites. Tent camping all the way up to class A. Water and electric but no sewer at site. There is a dump station. The falls and the lake were nice but depend on rainfall. We have been in a little drought so it was a trickle. There are fish in the lake but do not like to be caught. Swimming area at the lake as well. Some trails but not a bunch. Would definitely come back.

This park has waterfalls, which are beautiful, but not very big. The swimming area was very mucky.

The sites were spacious and well set up.

Lovely campground! They had just done a controlled burn about 2 weeks before we were there so everything looked like fall!

We stumbled upon this RV park due to mechanical truck issues. The hosts were incredibly accommodating! Park is quiet and clean with trails that lead to the highest waterfall in Florida. Side note: HIGHLY recommend area mechanic Daniels Automotive.

We always stop here on our way back from Tallahassee for a quick hike! Nice place to stretch your legs!

Falling Waters State Park is a great place to bring your family to create some lasting memories!

The falls are quite beautiful and there is a nice trail that takes you right down to where you are facing the falls and you can look down into a long dark pit.

The park is not large but is very nice and has a sandy beach swimming hole with bathroom/changing facilities and a super picnic area with a awesome play area for the kids.

We were a little disappointed as one of the main trails around some interesting sink holes was closed and in need of repair.

The campsites are nice but fill up fast!

A great place for a family reunion or picnic!

Falling Waters boasts Florida's largest waterfall and in the wet season it is a sight to be seen! The hiking trails through the sinkholes is pretty cool and when you get too hot a dip in the lake will cool you right off! If you are planning on hiking note that there are elevation changes in this part of Florida. You will meet many of the local in the day use areas and this is a wonderful spot to picnic. The campground is clean and allows for some space to stretch out and I have not often found it full. Many other local attractions and the Watermelon Festival in June is AMAZING! Old Florida at it's best!

I wouldn't recommend making a day of this one. It would have been very nice if not for the litter in the waterfalls. The boardwalk is nice and well maintained but I would not recommend it for anything but a nice place to stretch en route to somewhere else.
