Falling Waters State Park name says it all. If you love waterfalls, hiking and adventures you should definitely come here. Waterfalls and hiking are two of my favorite things when it comes to nature and this park has both. The park is surrounded by gorgeous trees, which are nice because they provide plenty of shade. There is a really pretty boardwalk that leads you right to the waterfall. The lookout point is a perfect location to stand and watch the waterfall and take pictures of course! The park offers some great hikes as well. You can choose from 3 different hikes that are located within Falling Waters State Park. All of them a great hikes with amazing views. The hikes are not difficult and very short, which makes it nice because you can do them with your whole family. The campsites are great, and come with a picnic table and fire pit ring. The nice thing about this park is that pets are welcomed, but you do have to keep your dogs on leashes. There is a cool picnic area and a small playground if you have kids. Another great thing about this park is that there are a few places where you can go and swim. During the summertime months these small lakes do get quite busy. They both have a sandy beach leading up to the water. You can also fish, although my family didn't have any luck! It was definitely fun though. We also went to a butterfly museum which was located only a few miles past the campground. This was pretty cool, and I would recommend going there if you have any extra time. We stayed here 3 nights last summer, and our campsite location was perfect. I love that the campsites aren't super close together. We were close to the playground, which was nice for my younger cousins. I can't wait to come back here in the future and enjoy the hikes and waterfalls!
