Dick’s RV Park is conveniently located on the outskirts of Great Falls and close to Interstate 15. It’s a well-equipped campground for RVs, offering full hookups, laundry room, restroom, internet access, available propane, and water, among other amenities. Dick’s RV Park is a comfortable and clean option to set up camp and explore the area.

Great Falls KOA

For those who don’t mind a little activity around a campground, this is a big camp with relatively small sites close together. It’s conveniently located right outside Great Falls and next to the highway. Also, Great Falls KOA has many amenities, including a hot tub and sauna, full RV hookups, available propane and firewood, and bike rentals. This is a fun campground with a lot going on: yard games, treasure hunts, live music, and other planned activities. Overall, an excellent place for families with young children.

American Legion Lions Park

This is a small campground with a number of great amenities. It has a free RV dump station, flush toilets, and a pavilion with running water and BBQ grills. The sites don’t have picnic tables or fire rings. There’s a nice playground for kids, a tennis court, a skate park, and a horseshoe pit.

Even though the campground itself is relatively quiet, there’s quite a bit of noise coming from a nearby highway. Camping at American Legion Lions Park is limited to a maximum of three nights.

There’s also the possibility of hiking up Windy Mountain on a six-mile loop trail that passes right by the campground. Thain Creek Campground is about an hour’s drive from Great Falls, but it’s a quiet and relaxing place with shaded sites and beautiful nature that’s worth the trek.

Chouteau County Fair Campground

This is a small campground on the outskirts of Fort Benton and right next to the Missouri River. The camp is about an hour’s drive from Great Falls. Chouteau County Fair Campground has a canoe launch point, private showers, and flush toilets.

There are great fishing spots around Fort Benton, and the old Fort Benton bridge is a must-see. Overall, it’s a small and comfortable campground not too far away from Great Falls.

Gateway Military – Malmstrom AFB

This is a military campground located just outside Great Falls. It’s a camp mostly suited for RVs and the tent spots aren’t great. However, the host is amiable and accommodating, and the campground is mostly quiet and peaceful.

Malmstrom AFB offers a full RV hookup and a dump station. The town’s movie theater and bowling alley are close by, making for a fun night out after a day in nature.

Pelican Point Fishing Access Site

This is a tiny but beautiful campground right by the Missouri River. Three out of the four sites sit under large cottonwoods and the sites are spacious and flat. There is one vault toilet and there is no trash service or available water at the camp. Pelican Point is a peaceful and simple campground about 35 minutes by car from Great Falls.
