Free and requiring no reservation, Half Moon WMA - Pole Creek Campground sits along a creek in Wyoming's Sublette County, managed by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. The access road starts as improved gravel but turns rough on the final stretch, with hairpin turns on a hill that rule out long rigs or fifth wheels. High clearance is strongly recommended; four-wheel drive is better. The area supports fishing, hunting, hiking, and wildlife viewing. Anglers will find water directly on site. For other options managed across the region, campgrounds around Pinedale vary in access and amenities. North Boulder Lake Campground is a nearby alternative worth considering.

Primitive camping is allowed in the Half Moon area along Pole Creek only.
Primitive camping sites exist along Pole Creek within the WHMA. The area provides access to adjacent U.S. Forest Service lands and little Half Moon Lake where additional recreational opportunities exist.
