Great bathrooms & showers
A bit lower key than most KOA’s (that’s a positive for me). Few kids, and VERY clean bathrooms and showers with appropriate hooks, dry shower entries (probably because they had great shower curtains). Sites had reasonable spacing and some shade. Nice pool.
Good for an overnight
Stayed here for a night on the way to Yellowstone. It was good for that purpose. It’s in the city, in fact there is a hotel right next door. Also close to a road, so you hear a good deal of traffic. Spots are quite close together. They do have free Wifi for streaming, which was nice. We didn’t use any of the facilities, so I can’t comment on those. Good for a stop but wouldn’t stay here for any length of time.
Family owned and very friendly!!
Very clean campsites and facilities! Friendly family staff! Easy access to the creek! Also has a cute store!

Open All Year Round - Great Communication
Needed a quick, last-minute spot in December and this KOA was perfect. Great communication (can just stop by w/o a reservation) and easy access.
Great KOA Experience!
We stayed at the Buffalo Wyoming KOA in August 2021. This is a very nice KOA park and in fact was our favorite KOA that we have visited. This is a family run KOA that has done some pretty incredible upgrades to this resort. Upon arrival, we were placed in a private site along a babbling brook. It was fantastic sitting outside at any time of day or night and listen to the water running by just outside our door. This park offers FHU sites that are very spacious. A number of sites that even run right beside the river. There is river beach access for everyone. The best park WiFi we have ever used, a nice pool and awesome gated dog run. It was lovely walking around the park in the evening talking to our fellow campers. Wonderful family run park which we highly recommend. If you are interested in videos of this campground and others, check out our YouTube channel: Jeff & Steff’s Excellent Adventure.
Great Cabins
We arrived around 4pm with a reservation for a cabin. The host was great and a nice quiet place. Cabins are clean and the restroom/shower area is very well maintained. Stocked main office with good amenities. Our space heater in the cabin wasn’t working and was replaced quickly. There is a fire ban so no open fires or cooking. I opted to use my gas stove on the porch and there wasn’t a problem. Good location if your headed into Cody or Yellowstone within the next few days. TV also has a Roku adaptor. Laundry room/ shower open 24 hours.
Depends on the site
On our way West we stayed in site 77 it was beautiful. Nice patio, beautiful setting all around Heading East we stayed in site 50 which was okay for one night. Bathrooms not the best but not the worst. I will stay again but will make sure I have a patio site
Good stop off point
Basic KOA. Decent sites (gravel) comfortable setup. Basic amenities and nice folks.
Liked this place
We were traveling through on our way to Yellowstone. The campground was clean, the bathrooms clean, the showers clean and private. Great WiFi!
Buffalo KOA
Nice little place though it looks to be growing. Pool was down for repair kids a little disappointed but they lived. We stayed one night, host were great and friendly. River on campgrounds was fast running but I'm sure it's very cooling in the hot summer days ahead
Everything you expect from a KOA
It's a typical KOA. Well maintained. Clean. Great showers/rest rooms. Close sites. Pool wasn't open yet. Store. Very friendly staff. Close to town and the interstate. Dog park. Playground. Some road noise. Propane. Wifi.

Roomy campground
Clean, nice, easy access. Highly recommended.
Not as good as expected
Pulled in and it looked nice but it’s right near the road. So pretty noisy at night with trucks going by. There is a Hampton Inn next door doing construction so promptly at 730am, bull dozers and construction began. Showers and bathrooms were clean though
Easy to get in/out of sites
Clean grounds. Didn’t feel overly cramped together.
Buffalo KOA
Aug 22-23, 2019 $45.68 Site had electtric, water and sewer. Has dump station, laundry room, cable and wifi. Verizon 4G, 4 bars. Did not take time to take photos.
Nice Campground
We needed a camp site with full hookups for one night. This KOA clean & the people running it do a nice job. Pull through sites. Nice and level.
