Becker's Resort & Campground is one of my families favorite places to go. From fishing Lake Winnibigosh (which it's located on) to the pool, playground, or arcade, all three kids love Becker's! We've stayed here three times now. One time in a tent. Beautiful site located right next to the water. One time in a motor home. Again next to the water. Great site. And last time we visited we rented a cabin for a week. It was amazing all three times!! Showers could use an upgrade, and all the busted toys in the sandbox is an accident waiting to happen. Stepped on quite a few sharp plastic pieces several times. Other than that we will return with out a doubt another time in the future!
Our whole family loves coming to camp here! Lots of playground equipment for the kids. You can rent out a TeePee to camp in. Theirs a boat launch, and a beautiful well taken care of beach as well!
Their are so many different options of sites to stay in! You can literally camp right next to the falls! The sites are very big and have beautiful views of the river that leads to the Turtle Flambeau Flowage! If you have a boat, certain sites have it so you can pull your boat right up to your site! Theirs very nice walking trails all over. They have a fishing dock. A shelter right on the falls. Also has a boat launch. If you love camping, take the trip to lake of the falls county park and you will not be disappointed!
Our family was very excited to check out Pine Grove Campground, within the first hour of being there though, my husband and I didn't care too much for it. It is extremely over crowded. Almost all the water toys/activities that were shown on their website and Facebook page weren't there anymore. To rent a paddle board it was $15 per hour. By the time you got them, got in the water, it cost us $45 for 3 kids for way less than an hour. $50 to rent a golf cart. Even the wagon ride thru the campground was an extra cost. They advertised free Wi-Fi thru the campground. I turned my Wi-Fi on, only to be notified that the first 30 min are free and you have to pay them for a daily code every day for any use after the 30 min. We picked the weekend of choice to stay there since they advertised fireworks. Due to rain they stated they were cancelled which is understandable. We were not pleased at 11pm at night when the rain stopped and they decided to do the fireworks. All of our camping neighbors were not pleased either. If you plan on camping here be prepared to bring a lot of extra spending money. Just for the kids to be able to use the equipment you have to purchase a wristband at $15 per kid.
Check out their website too see the different sites to choose from. The wooded sites are filled with huge old trees. If you love the water, check out the sites that put you literally right next to lake Winnebago! Their are so many nice playgrounds if you are camping with children. They have a store with all the items you would need if you forgot anything. Added bonus they have hand scooped ice cream with several flavors to choose from! If you fish, bring your boat! Theirs a harbor right in the park to launch your boat! Highly recommended campground!! We will definitely camp there again!
