Tight for big rigs

Campgrounds is right on the Bike trail. Owners are nice . We had difficulty getting to our site as tight corners for rigs 38 feet or more.

Fun Bike Trail

Very well maintained campground with space for Groups. Campground is right on the Elroy-Sparta bike train. They have a very nice pool and the Amish come through on weekends and sell candy and bakery out of their horse and buggy.

Great Campground

It was the first time out for my family in our newly acquired camper. Campground is right on the Elroy Sparta bike trail which has three old tunnels to go though. The trail is washed out shortly to the north of the campground but at check in they let us know and told us what they thought was the best way to address the issue. We needed up driving past the wash and rode to the largest tunnel. You can also leave the campground and go south about 1.5 miles and get to a tunnel. The pool opened the day we got there and my kids enjoyed it although it was definitely to cold for me. Frogs pulled us to sleep the first night but disappeared the second. Our site was pretty level and located near a creek which runs though the middle of the campground. My kids enjoyed playing in that. There’s a mini golf course which may have seen better days but is still playable and an older wooden play set. Water and electric I think are available at every site. Keep in mind water is well so a filter may be wanted. Campground and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. All the sites looked nice but the ones at the back seem to be more wooded/secluded. We definitely would visit again.

Great campground located on an awesome bike trail

The Elroy Sparta Bike Trail, North America's first rails-to-trails project, runs through the Tunnel Trail Campground. The campground is very nice, especially for tents and smaller campers and caters to bicyclists. We had a lot of privacy because it was early in the season and there were very few campers there, however, the sites are fairly close together and if the campground were full, it would have felt crowded. The owners are friendly and very accommodating. The pool looked awesome, but it was a bit too cool to swim when we were there. It's often difficult to find campgrounds near bike trails, which is what makes this campground so great! We rode from Norcross to Rockland with a stop in Sparta at the Market Tavern. We enjoyed the hot ham and cheese sandwich, fried mushrooms, and excellent brown ale. Really great ride with lots of wildflowers, cow farms and tunnels to bike through!
