Peshtigo River Campground

A bend in the Peshtigo River defines this campground's layout, with sites spread along the waterway and extending inland from the water access point. The facility operates from mid-April through mid-October, accommodating RVs up to 100 feet with full hookups alongside tent camping options. Multiple access methods include drive-in, walk-in, and boat-in sites, creating different camping experiences within the same property.

The campground serves as the endpoint for tubing operations that launch upstream, with buses running between 10 AM and 3 PM daily. Reviewers consistently mention the river access as a primary draw, though water levels vary seasonally. Mike W. found "very clean" facilities including "some of the cleanest bathrooms we've ever found." Site spacing varies considerably across the property, with some reviewers noting compact areas while others report ample room for larger rigs and additional tents.

The property includes both seasonal and transient sites, creating a mix of temporary and longer-term camping. Several reviews mention the quiet atmosphere despite the presence of other campers, though the tubing operation brings daytime activity. A game room houses working pinball machines, and playground equipment serves families. Campers seeking additional options in the region can explore places to camp around Crivitz. Cell service receives mixed reports, and the facility lacks on-site dining options.

Convenient location

This is a decent campground for Tubing fairly level sites at a decent price, the one thing that is horrible is trying to get in contact with this camp ground, voice mail box is ALWAYS full so you are unable to leave a message and No one ever get's back to you when you send a message from the site, which makes it very difficult to change or schedule a reservation, their website has also not been updated since 2024, to me this is bad business and if you don't have the time or want to keep this campground running sell it to someone who would love to take care of it. the grounds are somewhat taken care of, which seems to be a good thing for the majority of the full time RV sites, but I have seen them spraying chemical around all of the kids play ground equipment with no signage stating that they should stay off for a period of time. I'm just saying I think this campground could do much better at patronage then they are. and if their is no one on site during the off months to answer calls or emails let it be known so you can avoid the frustration. this place could be amazing!

Good campground to do some river floating

We thought we had a small site- until we got there. Site 86 is the smallest on the map but it is not small at all! We have a 33 1/2 ft 5th wheel and had plenty of space. We could have had some tents on the site if we wanted to! The fire pit was away from the level area the RV is to be parked. The electric and water were a little farther away than typical but not too bad.

The owners are awesome and worked with us on our reservation- my friend set the site and I paid for it later. Everyone we spoke to with a seasonal site was very nice and helpful. The campground was quiet for the most part. You could hear there were people were out at their sites but no one was being loud or obnoxious. It was perfect!

Tubing was a bit of a different experience to start off but ended good. We waited for about 40 minutes for the bus. Once the bus came, everyone piled on. We had our own tubes so we put them on ourselves as well as our cooler. We rented two cooler tubes- one for my cooler and one as a “dry” area. We we’re on the bus for about 25 minutes due to too many people getting on and two large groups having to decide who was getting off. Once we arrived at the drop off site- all the cooler tubes were grabbed right away. They made sure we got both tubes we paid for before we pushed off down the river. I was very thankful for this!!!!! My personal tube popped half way down the river due to it being old so I’m very happy we had the other two tubes!

The river was nice! Low in some spots but we never had to get out and drag our stuff. Some trees to paddle around occasionally, but nothing out of the normal.

One thing I was surprised at was this campground does not have a bar and or grill.

Canoe Camping

Friends and I love to canoe camp here. We make it a yearly “beginning of summer”tradition. Very secluded sites up and down the river. Fishing has always been good.

Beautiful Spot on the RIver

A few years back, I was a briefly a white water rafting guide for a company that rode on both the Menominee and Peshtigo Rivers. This camp does a great job on their tubing and river-based activities. People come from far and wide to enjoy the camp's outdoor offerings. The campground has a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes it easy to stick around. The cabin are cozy and well furnished. I only regret that I hadn't visited sooner!

Great for Families and a weekend getaway!

I grew up about 10 minutes away from this campground and it is still an awesome place to go when we are looking for a “staycation”!

It’s right by an elementary school so it’s a very safe area, across the road from an AMAZING playground that all ages will love, also about 50ft from a beach! The beach isn’t huge, and is open to the public so at times it gets crowded but is very safe and clean. The beach is on the peshtigo river and is great for kayaking, paddle boarding, boating, jet skiing, and tubing! There is a boat launch less than half a mile towards town on the river that is open to the public! Also includes a skatepark!

There also are two pavilions on parks grounds, both covered. One is smaller on the beach and includes grills and tables, and the other one has a stage on it for performances!

This campground is a mix between RV’s and tenting so you get the best of both worlds! Forget some necessities? No Worries! You’re a 10 minuet drive from Walmart and within walking distance of a cafe and gas stations! There are bathrooms, water hook ups, picnic tables, fire pits, and parking.

(I unfortunately do not have any recent pictures because I lost all of them but google really does a great job of showing what I’m talking about!)

A Peaceful Campground on the Peshtigo River

The Peshtigo River Campground as it’s name implies, sits on a crook of the Peshtigo River. This makes it a perfect ending spot for the tubing rentals that they offer. The Campground itself is very clean. It has some of the cleanest bathrooms we’ve ever found. It has a small but very open playground. It even has a game room with a SouthPark Pinball that is fully working. There are several full hook up sites that are nicely spaced. All in all, it is a peaceful, clean, well run campground that I highly recommend.

The rent tubes for $14/person. Cooler floats are $8. This includes the bus service to the drop off anytime between 10 and 3pm. I would dedicate 3-4 hours to the tube trip.
