O'Neil Creek Campground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Reservations are available at O'Neil Creek Campground, which runs from April 15 through October 15 near places to camp near Chippewa Falls. The campground accommodates RVs up to 80 feet with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer, and also has drive-in, hike-in, and walk-in access for tent campers. Expect to budget around $60 per day, based on what recent visitors have reported. Pets are welcome throughout.

The creek running through the property is the defining feature here. It draws families with kids in particular, as the water runs shallow enough for young children to tube safely. Kayak rentals are available on site, and some sites sit directly on the water. Reviewers also note summer programming that has included outdoor movies and seasonal events. A good portion of the sites appear to be rented seasonally, so waterfront spots may be limited for weekend walk-ins.

Facilities are well-maintained. Reviewers consistently mention clean restrooms, and the campground also has showers, laundry, a camp store, an arcade, and a beach area. Stina M. notes that site sizes vary considerably, saying one spot was "so small, so much so I thought he was kidding," so it's worth requesting a specific site or asking about dimensions when booking. Staff have received positive mentions for helpfulness, including assisting one camper with a mechanical issue on short notice. Campers wanting a quieter, more rustic stay nearby might consider Lake Wissota State Park Campground as an alternative.

Really enjoyed the experience! It’s beautiful and good mix of quiet and lots of activity’s. Can tube down the creek, very shallow so even littles can do it too. Site 133 was super small, so much so I thought he was kidding. Saw site 204 was open and switched to that one instead. Dogs welcome which was super nice!

Very clean, quiet, great amenities

We stayed one with ones day notice after Labor Day. The site was waterfront and one hr prior to arriving experienced a mechanical problem with our tow vehicle. We made it to the campground. They were extremely helpful so much so that we were able to diagnose and resolve the issue on site with tools on hand. The restrooms were spotless. It appears many of the sites are season rentals.
