Eagle Ridge Campground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Reservations are available at Eagle Ridge Campground, a privately operated facility in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, with nightly rates starting at $38 and full hookups including electric, water, and sewer for RVs up to 50 feet. The layout divides into two distinct sections: an open grassy field and a more densely wooded area, which gives campers some flexibility depending on whether they prioritize satellite connectivity or tree coverage. WiFi, a dump station, showers, and laundry facilities are all on-site. Pets are allowed.

Sites are narrow and close together when the campground fills. Several reviewers note that occupancy during their stays was low enough to avoid crowding, but the spacing would limit privacy at capacity. The bathhouse draws consistent praise for cleanliness, and each site includes a fire pit and picnic table. A sand volleyball court and playground add options for families. The campground sits on a former Renaissance Faire grounds, and some infrastructure improvements were still underway as recently as 2019.

A walking path leads toward the Chippewa River, though Beth B. notes the trail is "a bit overgrown and lots of bugs," with river views partially obscured by vegetation. Campers interested in floating the Chippewa River can arrange tube rentals and shuttles through a local bar in town. The surrounding area also has geocaching options worth exploring.

For a different setup in the same general area, Duncan Creek Campground is another option worth considering, or campers can browse camping near Chippewa Falls to compare what else is available in the region.

Okay for night, safe clean campground

The spots were narrow and opened up to neighbors. We were fortunate to have no neighbor on either side, but I could see how that would limit privacy. Laundry was clean but small only 2 washer/2 dryer and no fan in room….really humid in evening and you didn’t want to open door due to bugs. Bathhouse clean….decent rec area for kids including sand volleyball court.

River walk trail…not detailed in paperwork. Trail is just ok, a bit overgrown and lots of bugs. We made it a good ways in and felt like we were parallel to River, but it’s so thick with growth…you can just make it out through brush. I was not prepared with flip flops so I turned back. Unknown if nice view at end.

This place is great for Starlink!

If you’ve been anywhere in Minnesota or Wisconsin, you know about all the trees! As other reviews mention, this campground has a large grassy area - that gives a 100% clear obstruction for Starlink. We work full time, so this was important for us. HOWEVER, the other half of the campground is within a super treed area, so we got to pick!

The bathrooms were sparkling clean. The showers were hot and the laundry was reasonably priced. Had I known how much we liked the area, we would’ve stayed longer. 10/10 would recommend.

Pretty standard commercial campground -- open field with a few trees. Sites would have been very close together if they were all in use but many were empty during my visit. Walking path to an area that overlooks the Chippewa River was nice.

Quiet and clean

Only campground that had open availability at the last minute. Everyone was very friendly and campground was clean. Fire pit and picnic table included. They were flexible on the check out time. It is a great place to stay if you want to float down the Chippewa River, Loopy’s the bar in town will shuttle you to and from the campsite and drop you off with their tubes at the river! Fun weekend!

Under development

This is a former Renaissance Faire site that is being turned into a Campground RV Park. They were laying new foundations when we were there. Bathroom/ shower house was very nice & large with 2 entrances. Large playground. Close to a ball park. Tons of geocaching in the area.
