Zealot Leash

Overall a decent Campground. Lots are spacious. Layout of fire pit on sites are poor. For example lot 76, fire is offset to the left of the electrical post. This is a problem since majority of RVs have awnings on the right side and electrical hook up on the back left side. Our fire pit ended up…

Great hiking trip!

We had a great hiking trip. Our first night we spent on the escarpment trail. Unreal to wake up in your hammock to this view. Bugs were really bad at LOC site but the escarpment and Little carp/LAke superior hikes were not bad and worth the bug battle.

Tall trees and a beach close to town

This small campground is well kept and close to the main road. It’s a perfect place to stop for a night’s rest and close enough to Bayfield to be a base. The 2 main loops both start from the main road so be careful of traffic. There are a variety of sites to choose from but limited shade. There is…

Family friendly

My family, along with a couple other families, used to camp here for a week every year when we were kids. There are 2 beaches, trails, beautiful wooded sites, and the lakes water is as clear as advertised. You will need to reserve your site 11 months in advance because it fills up fast. If you have…

Convenient and Right on Lake

This campsite is $30 to stay at located on Lake Superior and an easy half mile walk to downtown Bayfield. Arrive early to get a spot because even on the weekdays the fill up. We visited on a Tuesday and all spots were gone by 3pm. There are 2 primitive spots available which just entails about a 20…

The views make the review

This campground is part of a casino, but the views of Lake Superior and the Apostle Island are amazing.  There is a marina and a small beach.  Wifi is very strong.  The sites are tight but good for a quick stop.   We  came into town with no reservation for one night, after 5 other stops we were…

I’ve come back twice and would a third time

Pros: nice campground, right on the lake. Has a nice beach access (although keep in mind it may be closed in early summer due to swimmers itch). The staff was really friendly, and even suggested to switch to a better campsite for free. The dump/fill station is efficient and clean. Pretty…

Up in the clouds

I stayed here when the weather was not in my rained. With that, we had the greatest time hanging out at our campsite. It was a little slick on the site with all of the mud, but it made for fun stories. Close to the park and hiking trails.

Awesome campground located right on a central boardwalk trail to 4 falls. no service anywhere near, and big rvs beware of the trip up the mountain as the roads haven't been paved in forever. if you can take the risk definitely stay at this gem in the mountains

Grassy and well kept

Well maintained campground with a manicured feel - fresh cut grass feels like a lawn. There are some nice sites - some with more privacy than others. A large covered shelter with plenty of picnic tables is in the center. Atv’s seem to be popular. There are trails starting right by camp. They even…

Fancy rustic campground in the wilderness

This campground is in a wilderness area so there are regulations if you choose dispersed camping. The are 4 campground loops and many campsites out around the lakes. We chose a spot in loop 3.

Our site is large with plenty of space for our teardrop and screen room. Water is right next to us. This…
