Nice, but.....

The campground was nice, but not really our style. We typically like state parks or campgrounds similar. This campground is more like a parking lot. With that being said, our spot had an amazing view looking over the South Branch river.
The bath house was nice and clean. The other campers were super friendly. There is river access for tubing, kayaking and fishing.

A great family campground

This is a great campground. Friendly staff. Affordable rates. Sites are level mostly with grass sites. Many of the sites are very large. There is a good mix of seasonal, yearly, and in-and-outers. It is right on the river for swimming, kayaking, and fishing. There is a playground for the kids and bring the bikes for them to ride around the campground. It is a nice family campground. It's close to the town of Augusta for supplies or extra groceries. Electric golf carts are allowed. Strict quiet hours from 11pm-8am. Due to COVID restrictions tent camping isn't allowed due to bath house being closed. On a normal summer, this place has lots of events and activities for everyone including a Bluegrass Festival at the end of June.

Awesome Place

Right on the river! Plenty of room for Big 5th wheels the lower sights are a little close but nothing terrible. People are very friendly. You can float the river from old fields right to your camp! Full hook ups very clean. Price is right too. Great weekend place.

Love it!

We come to this campground yearly! Right on the river, lots are spacey, friendly staff, and a clean bathhouse. Prices are the best around as well!!

we really wanted to go to this campground, but “no bully breeds” allowed means we will never go or recommend

Gem in the hills of Romney WV

Owners a very nice and accommodating. Lots of RV sites but we stayed in the tent sites about 100 feet from the river. I can’t remember the price but it was very reasonable. Each site had a picnic table and was sheltered by tall trees. Tent sites are a little close together but not too bad. I tent pads, you just pick an area in the grass and pitch your tent. The campground has a large river frontage with a gravel beach. The central bath house was reasonably clean with three or four shower stalls per side. The only thing I didn’t like was there was no privacy when you exited the shower, just a large common changing area but we made the best of it. This a gorgeous area with lots of places along River Rd to put in a kayak or float tubes of which we usually do both. Fishing is great as well, we never catch anything huge but the numbers are always fantastic with a 40 or 50 day not uncommon.
