SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Sitting on four acres along the Cowlitz River outside campgrounds around Castle Rock, River Bank has the feel of a private riverside property more than a conventional campground. The setup is open and informal: campers park on grass near the river bank, with no assigned spots or hookups. Self-containment is required. The owners have a reputation for flexibility about where rigs park, and reviewers consistently describe the hosts as accommodating and welcoming.

Water access is central to the experience here. Anglers come specifically for salmon and steelhead fishing on the Cowlitz, and the riverfront also works for swimming and boating. Steve B. sums up the draw simply: "You park down by the river and enjoy the quiet and beautiful spot." Cell coverage is solid, with one camper reporting three bars of 5G on Verizon. The campground sits just minutes off the interstate, though reviewers note it reads more rural than that proximity suggests.

A few practical notes: the facility is still developing, so expect basic amenities rather than a full-service setup. Reservations are available, and at $30 per night, the site draws repeat visitors. Campers with larger rigs should call ahead to confirm fit, as the property is not suited to all rig sizes. Nearby options like Cedars RV Park and Mt. St. Helens RV Park provide alternatives with hookups if self-containment isn't an option. Book early during summer fishing season, when river access sites in this corridor fill quickly.

Peaceful, easy, relaxing

This place is just off the interstate a couple minutes but you feel like you're out in the country. Hostess very accommodating. Riverfrontage is delightful. No hookups you must be self-contained. I have three bars of 5G Verizon. Owners very easy going. Allowed us to park on the grass just about anywhere we wanted to set up. Great views.

Serendipitous

OK with the exception of the fact that they’re just starting out and haven’t gotten everything in place as far as facilities I would’ve given this a five star Steve and Julie were absolutely gracious kind and hospitable. Their property is beautiful and it’s right on the river great for swimming fishing boating we were welcomed with open arms. not once did we feel like strangers on somebody else’s property, but felt more like family. We hadn’t seen in years, This was the energy from the beginning to the end. And then you have this amazingly beautiful piece of property. It felt very much like renting out somebody’s backyard on the river, very private even with other guests next to us they were kind as well. It wasn’t the same as camping. If you know what I mean, it was almost like going to vacation property for the weekend I felt very much at home and with the exception of the fact that they haven’t had the facilities put in place yet this is a five star all the way thank you, Steve and julie You guys turned what could’ve been a stressful weekend into a relaxing loving experience and we appreciate you so much we will be back, bless you.
