Solid spot

Only about 7 minutes to the visitors center for mt St. Helens. There’s about 200 rv spots but they do have a couple tent spots. Free showers and a pool and games. They even have laundry. We couldn’t get a hold of anyone on the phone so we just stopped in and got a spot for one night while we were driving through. If you want to be in more of a tree vibe, ask for the back spots.

Nice Camground… Needs updates/repairs

We have stayed at this campground 6-7 over the last few years. There is a lot of things for kids to do. Basketball, pickle ball, swimming, disc golf, and more. The staff is friendly and the grounds are kept in good condition.

My only downgrades for this park would be that a lot of the wood structures are beginning to show signs of rot (hose bibs, sign posts, etc) That is not such a big deal, but simple fixes that haven’t been addressed over the last few years. The other issue with this park does not bother me so much, but has bothered people that have camped with us. The park is bordered to the west by a busy train track, and to the east by the I-5 freeway. So if peace and quiet is what your are looking for during your stay, I would not suggest this Campground.

If you can overlook the noise and a small lack of upkeep, you will enjoy your stay. We stay here a couple times a year, and our kids enjoy this place a lot.

Noisy!

Was hard for us to get a good nights sleep in between a highway and train tracks. Spots were fine, bathrooms good, pool good (when not too busy). Good access to Mt St Helens.

Full of fun things for kiddos

This is the kind of RV park that I like. Nice spots surrounded by grass, decent space between sites (not much, but enough), and most importantly, lots and lots of things for kiddos to explore. There's random trails, a playground, big green fields, volleyball court, etc. Plenty to keep them busy and felt completely comfortable letting them run around.

Everything is clean and well maintained. I like the central area better (closer to facilities). The camp is right off the freeway, but if you're back off the road there's not as much noise, though there's also a train that runs through on the far side. Overall, would definitely come back.

Kid-Friendly with lots to do near Mt. St. Helens

Well situated. Just off I-5, about 10 miles from the Mt. St. Helens Visitor Center and about an hour north of Portland, Oregon. Lots to do, especially for kids. There's a swimming pool, basketball court, huge playground, volleyball, disc golf course, picnic table areas and woods to run in.

Everything is fairly well maintained, but like HBO's Westwood's park, it gets stranger the further you get from the center of the park. Off on the edges the spots get more weedy, there's a railroad track on one side and the freeway on the other. But stay to the middle and everything is very well maintained and fun.

A bit more expensive than other more run down spots in the area ($43 or so), but in general worth it for its nice location and amenities.

Tips: not all spots have fire pits, so if that's important to you, be sure to ask for one.

A Lot Going On

It has a lot going on. There's a frisbee golf course that we didn't use but looks fun, really nice playground for the grandkids that's a fort, a store, swimming pool, a recreation hall with nice paintings on the outside and showers and bathrooms nearby. You can check out basketballs and such, which is fun. Most of the sites are pretty close together. The check-in and camp hosts are nice. The campground is very large and you can walk around and explore back in the wooded areas. There's some tiny homes that are fun to look at. Sites at the back are not as nice and are near the train tracks. It's right off the freeway but feels nice and safe. Most of the sites at the front have picnic tables and grass in-between. There's also electric and water.

Ok campground, nice pool!

We just bought a new camper and were excited to find ANY open spots late afternoon on a saturday. Staff was very nice and helpful and had a great little store. The pool was very nice and so were the surrounding bathrooms and showers. They were extremely busy so had a few hiccups at check in but no big deal. Our site didn't have a place for a fire which was disappointing and a train runs right by the campground as well as I-5. Not bad for a quick stop with a camper.
