Even though it was dry camping it was very nice and bald eagles everywhere
This is a 4 acre field on the bank of the cowlitz river, you must be fully self contained. You park down by the river and enjoy the quiet and beautiful spot. Salmon and steelhead fishing. No large rigs call to verify your rig.
If your a boondocker you will love it. Roads are good so long as there has not been alot of moisture. Wide open space with enormous views. Bryce 10 minutes away.
Great campground 20 bucks a night with pass 10. Right on the river and tons of exploration to be had. Restrooms but no hookups. They say 35 ft max I had no problem with my 40 solitude. Selective sites though for the large rig.
I am an rpi customer who is very upset. The spaces they have are small and crappy. Can not even accommodate a larger rig. You have no choice of your site they put you in a space if it works or not. THE WORST KOA I have ever been involved with.
Easy to get to places to stay for 20 miles road is in good shape. I pull a 40 foot solitude and there was no issue finding a spot
The gate is locked due to poor road conditions. We visited March 19 2022 should be open by end of June if they decide to open it at all. Per ranger
The park is closed. Now I don't know if it's temporary or what.
A bare bones state park. 40 bucks a night no hookups or potty. You back up to the ocean and it is beautiful the dolphins, whales and pelicans are what you pay for.
