Four Seasons Campground & Resort

Four Seasons Campground & Resort operates seasonally from April through October, accessible via seven miles of dirt road that leaves rigs dusty but leads to full hookup sites accommodating RVs up to 50 feet. The property sits beside a small lake with a boat launch, though campers note the standing water makes swimming less appealing than launching watercraft.

The campground runs alongside an active railroad where trains sound their horns multiple times per pass, creating noise that occurs two to three times hourly according to recent visitors. Open tent sites allow campfires on maintained grass areas, while the owners work to develop more private camping spots at both ends of the large property. The facility hosts events including firework shows, karaoke nights, and fishing tournaments throughout the season.

Shower facilities require quarters for operation, and basic restroom amenities are available though supplies can run low during busy weekends. "The lake was beautiful and not too big or small," notes Bjorn S., who appreciated the property's bird populations and evening breezes that help with mosquitoes. The campground serves both overnight travelers and longer-term guests, with some sites functioning more as seasonal residences.

Campers seeking different accommodations might consider Sprague Lake Resort, located a few miles northeast with alternative lake access.

Many visitors reported excellent hospitality from accommodating owners, with beautiful lake views from well-maintained sites. However, frequent train noise and basic facility maintenance emerged as notable drawbacks for most stays.

Fine place for a night bud wouldn’t seek it out

This place was alright. By a small lake off the freeway. As others have noted there is a loud train that goes by that we heard maybe 3-4 times through the night. This seems to be less a place that people come stay a night and more a place where people live. Shower war out of order and no soap in the bathroom. Hardly saw another person. The lawn to camp on is nice and green and we’ll maintained and the stars are nice. I’d recommend it as a place to stop through and spend the night. But wouldn’t seek it out.

Dirt roads and no tp

The location is a long haul on a dirt road to the campground. Rig was covered in dust by arrival. First 10 minutes we found the worst part of this location. Right next to a very busy railroad and there is no railroad crossing and the trains blare the horn at least 6xs while passing… 2 to 3 times an hour on the hour. The facility’s are bare minimum. In a weekend there was no more toilet paper. The lake is a standing lake so swimming isn’t ideal. Boat launch is a better option than walking into the lake. But the view is outstanding from every single site. The breeze helps a lot in the summer.

Friendly, Accommodating, Lots of Events

I had the same experience as another reviewer.  An algae bloom cancelled a nearby reservation, but I came late here and got a great welcome from the owner.  I drove 7 miles on a dirt road and still found myself next to a busy highway and loud-tootin' train area, which gave him a good laugh.  He was interesting and open-minded politically, so it was a value-added conversation.  The 2 assistants I met were just as accommodating.  I'm used to traffic and train noise anyway - ear buds at night took care of any problems.  They do fun events like firework shows, DJs/karaoke, fishing tourneys and car/jet ski shows.  The tent sites are open area that allows fires, but I also noticed they were working on creating more private tent sites at both ends of the large property.  The lake was beautiful and not too big or small.  Mosquitos were not worse than expected as the wind helped a bit.  Everything worked, including the full-service bathrooms (4 quarters = 5 shower minutes) and mainly empty office/store that the owner was planing on stocking more as time went by. Thriving bird populations add to the good vibes.

Pretty lake but a ton of bugs

We had to stop last minute because another campground fell threw. The owner/manager was very accommodating and waited up for us to arrive. Since we were only staying for 14 hours, they put us in the day use area which was nice but there were soooooo many mosquitos. I guess that’s what we get for staying on a lake. The porta potties were just cleaned which was a pleasant surprise. They also have showers in case we needed them.
