Fishing, kayaking, and swimming draw campers to Sprague Lake Resort, a privately run lakeside campground in Sprague, Washington with full hookup sites and tent camping along the water's edge. Sites sit on grass throughout, which means RV campers should note that mats or pads outside the door won't lay flat the way they would on gravel or pavement. Large, well-maintained trees provide dappled shade across the grounds, and bald eagles have been spotted nesting nearby.
The camp host is notably hands-on. Arriving late at night, one reviewer found the host waiting to greet them and walk them personally to a site, since the all-grass layout makes it hard to distinguish where one spot ends and another begins. The grounds are kept clean. Cleanliness comes up in reviews alongside the host's active upkeep, including raking goose droppings from the grass.
Noise is worth factoring in. Train tracks run along the far side of the lake and trains pass at all hours, day and night. Several reviewers mention it as noticeable but not overwhelming. Rates run $65 to $85 per night, and reviewers flag additional per-person charges, tax, and a credit card processing fee that push the final cost higher than the base rate suggests. Amenities include full hookups, showers, WiFi, and a dump station. Nearby alternatives include Four Seasons Campground & Resort to the southwest. This campground works best for RV travelers or tent campers who prioritize direct lake access and a well-maintained, managed setting over budget-friendly rates.
