Simple but nice

Quiet during the week. Water access and biking/hiking trail. Beautiful place in the early morning hours

Trashy and Run Down

We stayed in a Potomac river view site with water and electric hookups for our 17' Jayco hybrid. The river view was nice, but we were packed in with our neighbors like sardines and no shade. The road into the campground was badly in need of repair. Site was not level and infested with black flies.…

Great relaxing camp

What a nice camp. The place is clean and well maintained, each site is getting a space for the tent, a picnic table and a fire pit. There are bbq spread all over the camp. The river water were so clean and fun to swim in. We really love this place and the people who own it

⬆️💲

I only called to inquire about the cost. Passing through and needed a spot to decompress for a few days. I was told it was $40 a night for a tent site for one person. The guy who answered was super nice but I thought that was really steep. Didn't see cost info anywhere online so thought this might…

Nice place but very noisy.

Loved the grounds, facilities were well maintained and clean. Sites were a bit close and not level. Would go back again except for the non stop noise from the interstate which kept us up all night.

Tough night

It was raining… HEAVY… but that aside, it is a great little area along the river. You really need to be proficient at backing the RV into tight spaces… there is not a lot of room. There is a bizarre amount of traffic at the camp site, maybe due to the zip line adventures. It makes maneuvering…

Great stop for an overnight.

Well groomed sites split into three main sections. Several hammock friendly (we were in 121 in the dogwood loop). Flat motorcycle parking, but bring a puck for your kick stand. Firewood and ice for sale at the check-in point. Quiet with modern bathrooms. Drinking water available. Fire pits have…

Kinda pricey but SO WORTH IT

They have so many activities for the kids! The sites are mostly a comfortable size.

Stayed an extra night!

We only booked for one night. But we loved this campground so much that we added an extra night. Very close to Gettysburg (25 mins) and hiking at the falls. Sites were level and shaded. Bathrooms were very clean - and had lots of hooks in the shower room.

Basic, fairly quiet, and on the water

The best sites for Potomac views are 1, 3, 5, and 6. Site one is closest to the drop toilet which does not show on the campground map on the website. Otherwise it's portapotty. The train does go by but in the summer the dense foliage keeps the noise low. There is a low tunnel to get to the site. My…

Trains, trains, trains. And a river

Boy oh boy. Where to begin. Trains. Literally every half hour a train goes right behind the campground, waking everybody up. If you're in a tent, that's not so great. Also theres a one way tunnel to get to the campground, and all these cars seem to thinks its really necessary to honk at least five…

Fantastic primitive camping

Green Ridge is a great place to get into deep boonies and get away from other people. Be aware, many of the roads(trails?)are very rough and not very suited to large pull behinds or full RVs. Most of the sites are better to haul your tent and gear in with something 4WD. Camp sites are generally…

Great for families, lots of activities to do

The staff was very friendly, and the park was clean.

A little hard to find, no major/large signs to tell you where to turn into the park. The entrance comes up quick and could easily be passed.

Empty at night but the wild is company

Okay so we arrived early and the park was ordinary. Lists of space but port pots were filthy and drawer flies in near my camp so bad I could sometimes smell it . I would definitely come back and it seems like there are no rangers here so I paid for nothing…. Very nice side of the Potomac to swim in…
