Good for a Short Stay

We are a full-time traveling family with 2 kids (8 & 13) and 2 English Bulldogs. We have a Class A motorhome and flat tow a Jeep. We spent 2 nights at Moose River in Vermont. We knew ahead of time that their site said they don't cater to kids; however, we felt like we had eyes on us the entire…

Remote, decent views

Pretty remote. Lots of traffic. Found a site that people with a Prius wouldn’t be able to get to.

Super buggy in June. No cell service. But, plenty of privacy and solitude.

Pine Haven Campground, Wentworth, NH

Multiple RVs, we were the only tent site at the time which made it very secluded and nice. Site was directly next to a babbling brook. There was a storm forecasted, and the groundskeeper told us if it got bad she could open the store for us to stay in. We had a van to sleep in so it was not…

Living Water is a good campground I'd go back

I camped on the river, could see the road (rt 3) on the other side of it, but that didn't really bother me since there were some trees slightly blocking the view of it, and the noise from the river was loud enough to drown most of the noise of traffic out.   Plus, we didn't stick around during the…

  • Notice the site is nice and level, notice the trees to the right of the Airstream which separate me from the neighbors, the site is long and narrow leading to the river front, the firepit is down closer to the river you can see it there.

Clean site

We had a nice private site, close to amenities and the lake, the beach area was nice,  kind of rocky, but had sand for the beach. The play area has a nice set up, overall a nice camping area.

Great campground, great location

Just a weekend stay up in Twin Mountains. Check in was fast and efficient. Site was clean, plenty big enough. We tented, but majority of sites were for RVs. Good mix of seasonal campers and daily.

Pool was small but sized right for the size of the campground. Price is great. Even reasonable…

Absolutely awesome! Edited!

I will start with the ONLY drawback, and it is dramatic at best. For like 30 minutes a day at around 5pm (I was there Thursday to Monday) you would hear (pistol) gun fire. Its most annoying the first day, then you get over it.

Moving on…

This is absolutely the best kept and cleanest campground…

Great Lakeside Vermont State Park!

Although we live only about 25 miles from this VT State Park, and have biked by here many times, we've never camped here. We selected it because it was nearby for our second outing with our new (used) R-Pod camper. Turns out it's a wonderful park. Perfect Lake Champlain views from a few prime…

Peaceful and friendly

The campground is down a 3 mile road with nothing but woods. It sets a peaceful tone. The sides here are spaced out and some are very secluded. We stayed at a more open site (A1) with a road on both sides, but it wasn’t a problem due to it only being campground traffic. Our site was large enough…

Some great Primitive sites here

This area is wonderful, first Texas falls it a great place to stop and explore.  Then, if you venture further up into the mountains you come upon the campsites with fire pits and if your lucky you can get one on the river.

There is not much to these sites as far as amenities, just a fire pit. …

Horrible this is not camping

This was the worst experience of our life, this place was the size of a shoe box was not real camping or even close to it the site was NOT big enough for our tent and truck. We got there and didn’t even get out of the truck and we went back to the front desk and told them we could not stay here and…

Wonderful views from these Primative sites

Spent two nights on FR207 at one of the fields and explored the rest. This is not a place to go without at least 9" of ground clearance. Views are spectacular, choose either sunrise or sunset and you should be able to get a site to fit your needs.

Great Primative Location

I didn't get the chance to camp here, it was full when I drove through looking for a place. So I came back later in the weekend for pictures. Great location, easy access, on a nice brook. Fire ring only, no facilities and minimal parking.

Most RVs, not a lot of privacy

90% of the campers are RVs here. They have sites along the river and a more wooden tent area as well. We stayed at the wooded tent area. I wish camp security would patrol more often as some campers would play excessively loud music throughout the weekend.

The river sites are pretty close together…

  • Sites 97 and 98 at night, fire in the rain.
  • Fire ring has some wear and tear.
