South Marina - Willard Bay State Park

There is no longer a Maples campground&nbsp;north of the Snowbasin Ski Resort. All picnic tables, firerings and restrooms have been removed. The public may still camp in the area, but must&nbsp;camp away from the trail that goes through the site.&nbsp;&nbsp;All access&nbsp;is walk-ins/bicycles/horses only, no motor vehicles, it is approximately 1/2 mile from the gate. The gate just off the pavement at the lower Snowbasin&nbsp;parking lot is the gravel trail/road to the area.

Port Ramp Marina is a boat slip rental facility located just 10 miles from Ogden, Utah, on the west side of Pineview Reservoir in scenic Ogden Valley. The marina is the most used launching facility at Pineview, which is the busiest reservoir in the state. Natural Features: Pineview Reservoir lies on the backside of the Wasatch Front. Ogden Valley is comprised of patchwork farmland surrounded by beautiful peaks. Recreation: Boating, fishing, swimming and water skiing are popular activities on Pineview Reservoir. Facilities: The marina rents boat slips for the entire season, from mid-May through September. The facility has a concrete boat ramp and a large paved parking lot with a designated area for slip holders. An adjacent gravel lot is used for overflow parking and dry storage. Dry storage can be purchased for a day, month or season. A public dock is on-site. A dump station and vault toilets are located in the paved parking lot. Nearby Attractions: Anderson Cove Campground is located 5 miles away on the south shore of Pineview Reservoir. It offers both family and group campsites and a swimming beach.

I found this spot on a long drive through Utah and we wanted to get settled before dark.  It’s kind of hidden and you drive back through the trees and there are random spots in the trees with a table.  There is a fee station at the front where you pay.  No water so you’ll definitely want to bring some with!  I’m not super paranoid but my friend that I was with was nervous about the safety of the area.  I don’t think I’d stay here again.
