We ended up going to this campsite since the wildfire directed us away from strawberry creek and it was incredible. We had a stream running next to us, a picnic table and plenty of room to back a truck in. There were trees to hang hammocks with views through the valley. There are trails running off from the campground so no driving is necessary
Beautiful area for a get away in Ohio. The beach is never too packed. You can take kayaks out and venture off around the shores.
It is so easy to get to and gives you a real taste of the Zion area
The road heading to this campsite is pretty rough, yet manageable. Beautiful area with great views of the mesas, but there is no blocking the wind. Sand/dirt padding of a huge circle area with no exact camp spots--just set up wherever!
Free camping with the best views and a variety of different sized campgrounds. No showering or running water which was expected. Cool biking, hiking and off-roading trails. Peaceful and secluded as you can look off into the mesas and up at the best view of the stars I've seen. Take the sheep bridge side road off a highway 9; easy 10 minute drive to get back into town.
Very busy and campgrounds are packed in near the entrance. Running drinking water but no showers. You must go to a neighboring gear shop outside the entrance. $25/night
