Tom's Best Spring Road Dixie National Forest

Great dispersed area! Roads in are good if you take it slow. Dozens of places. Good for any size rig. Close to Bryce, Cedar Breaks, and Zion. We camp in a 33' fifth wheel - no problem. We were there in early- mid October and it did get cold at night - 20's. My one complaint is we didn't see any wildlife there, probably too late in the season.

Great location around 10 miles to Bryce. Cell reception is great Verizon and Att. Nice bike path through red canyon and up to Bryce. Lots of dirt trails in the Dixie Forest. Pronghorn deer come every day morning and afternoon.

Plenty of spots (though we were here on a weekday) and SO CLOSE to Bryce NP! The stars were beautiful at night - even got some photos with my phone. There were some cows but they mostly stayed clear of the road. Road was pretty level and easy for cars to get back (and there were spots right off the road). I already want to come back!

There was a fire ban in July so bring your camp stove and leave no trace!

Road just keeps going! There’s campsites everywhere. Bout 20 minutes from Bryce. Just outside of red canyon which was a lot of fun to explore. Good for a rest day

Nice and quiet, decent sites. Nothing bad but nothing special

This continues to be one of our favorite boondocking sites even after four years on the road. This time we visited in late October/ Early November. We had some minor snowfall while we were there but that is to be expected at this elevation. Great for rigs of any size, with thousands of acres to choose from.

Pulled in around 9pm and found an empty site about .5 miles from Route 12. Awesome spot. Fire ring and very spacious. Managed to get 1-3 bars of T-Mobile 5G/LTE all night and morning.

Will most certainly revisit next time I’m in the area.

Easy to get to, plenty of room and quiet.  One of the best spots we've stayed in. Vault toilets across the highway if needed.

Came to camp after dark. Had to travel 7-8 miles off the main road. Sites are sporadic- lots of big campsites with lots of people, so it took a bit to find a secluded spot. Some trees. Very few fall branches for fire. Beautiful views.

Only 7 miles from canyon city. Nice paved bike path right at the entrance of the dispersed camping area. We drove in about a mile on a nice gravel main road. Found a nice secluded spot about 100 yards off the main road. There a lot of opportunities for displaying here. Are closest neighbors were 150 yards away. Will certainly stay here again.

Camps are spaced out but there are areas you could probably go and mingle. Area is quiet and has beautiful sunsets!

Very quiet and spread out plus a quick ride into Bryce. The site does have cell service for those who can’t disconnect.

We stayed two nights. There are tons of spots in the area spacious or small depending on your needs. It's perfect to visit Bryce Canyon, Red Rock Canyon or enjoy just your stay in a Pine Forest surrounded by Mountains. There are many ATV trails and bycicle trails, you can do horse back riding or hiking in the vicinity. The temperature is even in the summer cool because of a elevation of 7700 ft. There is a vault Toilet across the Hyw for a "big business". The spots are accessible even with a car. Big rigs would have no problem.
