Great option in Moab -CLOSE to Arches!

Friendly staff, off the road so noise is low, well maintained, all the amenities you need (not much of a store), cement pad for our Elite Back In. Con: didn’t really like being between two vacation rentals but the view in back was great. We saw lots of deer behind us. Easy in and out, close to parks, brewery within walking distance. Would stay again!

We love Portal!

This was our second time staying at Portal. First time we rented a house for a week. This time we took my 21 foot travel trailer and stayed for only one night. Just like the first time, it didn’t disappoint.

Lovely RV sites with super clean bathrooms, showers, laundry and swimming pools (2). Full hookups too for those with water, sewage, and electricity.

Site 1 was a gravel site with a paved bit to the right where a table and chairs were located. This site is at the beginning of the row, closest to the bathrooms, laundry and swimming pool. There’s enough room between the site and the building that you don’t feel intrusive, although at night I could hear people walking on the gravel towards the bathrooms.

The site is also near another property where a very friendly horse lives, who seems to visit the RV park in the mornings and evenings.

We asked management if it was okay to stay an extra 30 mins after checkout, and they were very accommodating.

Great Town and RV Stop

We loved Portal RV resort. Clean park with great amenities with adequate spacing. Full hook ups and great restrooms, showers and pool area. Just 5 minutes from Arches National Park and the center of town. Friendly staff and pretty quiet as we were there later in the season.

We will be back!

Everything was great

Clean, quiet, pretty. Very well run and staff was friendly. A more “upscale” experience. If you’re looking for seclusion, probably would want a different experience. Although sites are sufficiently spaced out.

Expensive, but with a great pool area and lovely staff

Loved the pool areas. The laundry facility uses an App which was easy, and even tells you on your phone when the wash is finished, and you could buy detergent in the site shop.

The Moab shuttle bus is brilliant and free, information is given to you at reception. Essential as it's a bit of a walk to the middle and far end of town.

The staff were really lovely.

The brewery on the main road just outside the park was excellent, with great food as well as beer.

Would stay again, but pay for a basic pitch as an extra $20 per night for a full-service pitch was beyond our needs. All pitches have electric hook up and water.

The only downside was trying to find drinking water, in the end i was told to fill up my water bottles at the drinking fountain in the gym. Also, there appears to be no ladies toilets from the outside of the shower/ toilet block, but from poolside the ladies' sign is clear.

Nice site!

Upscale RV living. Typical gravel site with hookups. Our AC went out mid-day and could not leave the dog alone, otherwise we would have spent time checking out the pool(s). Be sure to read their FAQ/site rules before booking as they have many restrictions on trailer types, allowed dog breeds, etc...

A

This campground is very nice the bathrooms are very clean and cleaned several times a day. The showers are nice but to me a little cramped but in great working order. The pool and spa are real nice and guests are friendly. The staff is very accommodating and extremely courteous. We are about 3 miles to the entrance to Arches National Park.

Wow!

This place is beautiful!! Can't beat the backdrop. Gorgeous red rocks as far as the eye can see. The spaces are pretty close together, but it wasn't a deal breaker. Very upscale campground with incredible landscaping and the pool is so nice!

Great place

This was a great place and perfect for families. We were able to take our 31 ft trailer in one of the many pull through sites. All the sites are well kept and flat, no leveling needed. There are many amenities and it was less than 5 minutes to the Arches National Park and close to the town of Moab.

Great Resort

This resort meets all possible needs. This was a great place to clean-up, rest-up and re-stock before heading out to the BLM land. They have pretty much thought of everything here, including a work-out room. Management is very nice and helpful. Typical RV park so sites are closely laid out but as a resort, it is too notch and all new. And WiFi actually works.

Fantastic Resort close to everything

The Portal RV Resort (the North Campground) was an excellent place to stay. It was very well maintained and obviously cared for. The pool and jacuzzi were a great touch to end a long day of hiking all over Arches NP.
