Not dog-friendly

I reserved four nights at Lowe beach so I could hook up to electricity and be close to the water with my lab. I arrived at 4pm the first day and we played in the water several times before I saw the “ No Dogs on beach” signs. park personnel kicked us off the beach the next morning and said dogs…

Very nice campsites, hosts were super nice

I did an overnight here on Memorial Day weekend at campsite 13. The campsites were very nice, there are 2 pit restrooms, each campsite has a fire pit with a heavy duty grill top and a picnic table. There were plenty of flat spots for our tent. The only gripes I had are that it's right next to the…

Dispersed Camping

This dispersed camping was a life saver. We showed up late at night with no set camping plans. We figured coming to Moab on a Tuesday night we wouldn’t have a problem finding somewhere to camp, but when all the campsites were full we were so thankful to find this campsite. Beautiful sunsets and…

New improved BLM CG

Looks like the BLM has recently updated and improved this location. Several vault toilets, campsites have tables, fire rings, tent pads and most important.. overhead awnings for shade as main camp sites are in open area with no shade trees. Note there are no trash cans or dumpsters and there is no…

Couldn't find it.

Map directions took us to private property. Written directions in past review were too vague.

Nice and quiet

This was a fantastic weekend week we arrived on Thursday and left on Sunday. We were only a couple mins away from the water. No bugs no nothing it was a fantastic weekend. The only thing that was not good was there was no cell service like the review said. My daughter and her friend paint the rocks…

  • This was the rock that was there when we first arrived my daughter came up with the idea of adding to the collection her her and her friend started painting rocks the whole weekend.
  • Wonderful and great razor trails

Good Dispersed Camping

We stayed here October 2020. Area was quiet and there were many spots that would fit several rigs in one site. Road was in decent condition heading in and some spots were fairly level while others were on a decent slope. We stayed at a spot close to Clyde creek and were able to hike down the…

Decent BLM Camping Near Vernal

We stayed here during the summer of 2020 due to its proximity to Vernal. It’s a decent enough campground, it’s very well maintained by BLM rangers which is probably the best part about it. Communal picnic tables at a couple of sites and clean pit toilets.

Due to its proximity to Pelican Lake, the…

Hard to get into the springs

The springs are a bit of a hike but they are a blast once you get there. They are very warm and a lot of fun! I went at night with my wife and it was a great date spot! We had the part we went to for ourselves.

This is the place...if you are into ATVs and OHVs

There’s free camping site served our needs, but at a minimum. Very bumpy road, but doable even in our class C. The biggest problem as noted in the title, is the constant barrage of ATVs, OHVs, and dirt bikes.

Moab seems to be the Mecca for these activities, which is fine. It’s hard to complain…

Stunning but check the weather

Beautiful spot up in the Uinta National Forest. The only fee is the recreation day pass which costs about $5 for 3 days. That's just to park your car. The trailhead begins about 50 yards to the right of the info kiosk. You hike in about 1.5 miles and the lake is surrounded by camping sites. Many…

Perfect spot to camp!

We did not have four wheel drive so we did not drive all the way to the lake. Found some great camping spots off the road about a half mile before the turnoff to the lake. We were able to walk to the lake to check out the views. Could hear some people in the distance, but they were not bothersome…

Disperse Camping, Great Lakes.

I love camping here because of all of the available spaces, also the trails for hiking are amazing and there are so many options. We hiked up to Ruth Lake and had a picnic there, we saw a lot of people going up that way who were backpacking.

Very busy, lots of hunters

Many, many trailers and RVs here, went on a Monday and it was packed, a lot of people cleared out on Tuesday morning. There were a lot of hunters, OHV vehicles (even at 6am) and a few gunshots went off very close by to us around 9am. We got a site a ways up the road, they are very large so it’s…
