Dixie National Forest's Leeds Canyon dispersed area includes six numbered sites along a Forest Service gravel road, but site 2 sits apart from the rest. Many campers appreciated the stunning panoramic views and peaceful setting at this free dispersed site. Access to site #2 requires high clearance 4WD due to steep rocky terrain. No amenities provided but 16-day stays allowed.

Rough Road Up

We stayed in site #1 and just checked out #2 (from a distance, as there was a tent set up there). This site is definitely not for motorhomes, as the road up is rutted and steep and rocky and slippery. The entrance to get to #2 is JUST directly past site #1, it would be really easy to miss.

Cell service in this area is ok for att and Verizon.

Some traffic along the main road but overall very quiet and peaceful area.

Great Site with some difficult terrain getting in

We stayed at site 2, they are right where the pins are on the map. 1,3-6 are easy to get to and right on a well maintained gravel road. 2 is up a steel dirt road with 1 tough spot. Not getting a trailer or RV up, but our van did fine. Incredible views in every direction.

Overlander site only

Leeds Canyon Dispersed camp sites are on the Dixie NF. Lower dispersed sites 1-6 are easiest to get into with a TT. Camp in designated spots, camping free for 16 days. No water, no trash, no toilets. Sites are along a well maintained FS gravel road so dust may be a concern. Only a few miles outside of Leeds and Interstate 15.

Leeds Canyon #2 is behind #1 a hundred yards but requires high clearance and 4wd to access....no TT or RVs. Nice big open area with views for the overlander types
