Free dispersed camping on a maintained Forest Service gravel road, sites 7 and 8 sit on a small closed loop off the main route to Oak Creek Campground, roughly a mile above the lower Leeds Canyon sites. No water, no trash, no toilets. The two sites are about 100 feet apart, which makes the loop well-suited to two groups camping together. Site 7 has a hiking trail down to the creek. Dust from road traffic is worth factoring in, and campers should plan to pack out all waste. Those exploring camping near Leeds will find this a functional, no-cost base with cell service and a 16-day stay limit.
