Accommodating management

This family run business knows what travelers need and will do whatever possible to accommodate them. I asked for a larger space as I have a rescue dog that’s reactive, and they accommodated me. And as I was getting ready to leave I checked my tires and noticed they were low. The young woman at the front desk called around and found a place where I could get air in them! Super clean bathrooms and showers, with ample washers and dryers, too. All of this and a great location. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Great stopover for regrouping

We been dispersed camping with a camper van for a week and this RV park was everything we needed: laundry, showers, recharge devices with power along with the dump, all within a few steps. Each site has a dividing fence with plenty of room in between. The owners know how bad RV parks could be. Never seen cleaner facilities with a spacious laundry room, showers, etc. They even have a dog park. Their communication with you is above par, everything is explained before you arrived via text. And if you are overdue on your stated arrival time, they send you a text with after hours check-in info.

Lovely site

Arrived when the office was closed but was warmly greeted by a very friendly and helpful attendant.

Good roomy pitch and spotlessly clean shower/bathroom and laundry facilities.

Lovely quiet town where my daughter and I strolled and picked up some groceries and beer.

Would highly recommend 👍

Mid way between a parking lot and a forest

When I checked in, the attendant treated me like she was personally happy to see me — a nice way to start a stay. The campground is mostly gravel, but a big effort is being made to develop a tree canopy — it will take a little time but it’s well on its way. The laundry and shower facility building was very good and cleaner than almost any we have used.

Thank you Klaus! Glad you enjoyed your stay. Travel Well!

Small Sites but Great Locations

Central to Bryce Canyon to the west and Grand Staircase Escalante to the east. Very nice hosts and Fantastic food at the Mexican food truck. Sites are dirt with trees and just about enough space for a slide on one side and an awning on the other.

Cute and clean!

Super new van camping but the place was great. We stayed here because Bryce Canyon had gotten too cold but it is close to everything.

Sweet little camp

This is a cute little campground with a family feel. There is a community fire pit and when we got here the hosts had a nice fire going. They night we stayed, guests observed the quiet hours between 10 and 7.

The grounds and common buildings are clean and accessible. We arrived after the office was closed but check in was quick and easy. The cost was reasonable, $38 for our small RV.
The only drawback is the sites are close.

Really Cute and Right in Town

Really nice RV park in the cute town of Escalante. The layout is the same as a basic RV park, with all the RVs lined up in rows in the hard packed gravel lot, but they also have cabins and a tent area.

We stopped here to use their laundry, which is open for use by non-guests. Coin operated but there is a change machine in the laundry room, as well as vending machines for snacks and soaps.

Showers are nice and clean and seem to have been open for use by non-guests as well in the past, but at this time it’s limited to guests only, I’m guessing due to covid.

There is no recycling here, there is firewood for sale, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

We didn’t stay the night here but the cost for an RV site is about $37, which is reasonable.

Good cell service since it’s right in town.

Late night check I

Showed up at 9pm with no reservation but we were easily able to book a spot using their digital kiosk. Showers were nice and clean. Laundry was available for $3.50 per load and up. Nice quiet and conveniently located between capital reef and Bryce.

Great cabins

Very cozy cabin after a long drive and stay in our rooftop tent. Perfect place to freshen up and do laundry. Ben is also very timely with his responses and was very personable.

Great location, exceptional staff

So much to do close to this campground.  Very close to stores and restaurants.  Staff are kind, accommodating and good communicators.

RV sites are close together but adequate.  Bathrooms and showers are clean.  Would stay here again if traveling through the area.

RV park review

This is a typical parking-lot style RV park sprinkled with poplar trees and located on the main route through Escalante, tho' we didn't hear any road noise. Bathrooms and showers excellent and spacious. Laundry expensive ($3.50-4.00 per load; perhaps due to water cost). Would have appreciated signage requiring masks in shared areas especially coming into another Corona spike. Owners were friendly. Surface was dusty. Hook-ups were fine for our 17-foot Casita trailer. The Escalante area has tons of great hikes (slot canyons, petrified forests, petroglyphs, views, etc.); park is a good, centrally located option for access.

Best of Escalante

While this might be the best Escalante has to offer it’s a bit of a let down. My first put off is when they told me they charge extra for children over seven, I guess that’s because they will be using the playground or pool area, oh wait they don’t have those...

Sites are all dirt and gravel (which I’m fine with) however they are so tight if you have a slide out your awning is in your neighbors area. They are all full hookups that’s a plus. However some sites have tables others don’t and no fire rings so bring your own. Some trees for shade but not much.

General store is pointless, as of posting there is a taco truck in front that seemed somewhat popular. We opted to walk next door to the circle D BBQ (great food and staff).

Facilities were very clean but small, one each men and women’s shower/bathroom, laundry area two each washer/dryer and they are open to the public.

If I choose to stay in the Escalante are again I would probably stay again, only because it’s the best Escalante has to offer.

My new favorite place

If you’re looking for a place to stay anywhere around Escalante STAY HERE!! I did a night in a cabin and a night in the back of my Tacoma and both were really great. This is no regular RV park - there are beautiful flowers everywhere, the shower room is exceptionally clean and honestly nicer than the one at my gym, there are multiple washers + dryers, the cabins are adorable, and the whole area is stunning. Johanna was working the front desk when I stayed and she was incredibly helpful, kind, and funny. I was traveling with another 18 year old girl and I felt safer here than I ever have in California - even in a hotel. Give this place a go!!

Quiet location in Escalante

This is an older, smaller RV Park that has several cabins and a few tent sites. The RV sites are typically pull through and both 30 AMP and 50 AMP are available. Nothing hyper here, but a well maintained park with nice restrooms and showers and a laundry. Located next door to a recommended restaurant and within a half mile of Escalante Outfitters - Espresso, Pizza, Salads and books and gear for your Utah Canyons adventures. Also a half mile to the Official Visitor Center: BLM, NPS and USFS - to answer all your wandering questions.

Beautiful backpacking trip

Did an awesome 3 day hike of the hurricane wash. Hiked in, set up camp, explored further, slept first night. Left our tents and gear and did a day pack hike totalling 16 miles down and back up the canyon. Third day was back out. It was amazing...other than the extreme leave no trace rules (ALL waste carried out).

Great Tent and RV Campground

What a great little campground! We tent camped here after arriving in Escalante late one evening. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Our site was roomy and flat: everything you want a tent site to be. The bathrooms were very clean and the showers were amazing! We didn’t use the laundry facilities but they are available. We were able to park our VW Beetle right next to our tent pad. We were in the site farthest away from the bathroom/shower but only had about a 30 yard walk to get to them. The showers were so great, we returned to the campground a day after we left the area and paid a small fee to use them again after a night of backpack camping. The multi-agency Grand Staircase Escalante visitors center was next door on on side and a CV store and restaurant was on the other. The Harris Wash/Zebra Slot Canyon trailhead was about 8 miles east and made for a very enjoyable half day hike. Everything was very clean and well kept. Very pleasurable stay and will definitely stay there again when we return to the area!
