Quite rest area

We spent the afternoon in this spot. As a first time BLM stayer I was impressed. There were others around, but we were unbothered.

Great Spot - Easy for 2WD Vehicles

Great spot to dispersed camp on BLM land. If you keep driving the road, there are some secluded areas that have relatively level parking. The road is about what you would expect from a BLM Road which is bumpy and about 25 mph for most cars. in my one night here did not see anyone else pass by and woke up to a great view of the sunrise over the salt lake flats.

Great view and place to crash

We arrived late, and this was a great place to crash for the night. We had dark skies. Perfect for stargazing. Woke up to beautiful skies. It was very windy when we were here the first time, but on our return trip three weeks after the first stop, there was a light breeze.

Beautiful Overlook of the Flats

This spot has gorgeous views of the flats and the mountains. However, it can get windy. It was 6-8 mph winds when we stayed and our rooftop tent was not exactly happy about it.

Wide open free BLM

Exit Bonneville Speedway. Head N past Sinclair (on right). Veer to left, which is Leepy (if you stay right youre on the Peninsula easy turn around at end) about a mile in Leppy veer to the right on the dirt road. It is wash boarded but totally doable. That leads you to the BLM parking lot. There are tons of spots all around there. To the left will lead you back to Leepy. To the right there are tons more spots. Some level, some not. You will be able to find a turn around spot (I'm towing 33' TT) if you don't want to go the, what I was told 40 mile loop. It is wash boarded. Only potable water I found was KOA in West Wendover. They also have a dump. Has a tendency to get VERY windy.

SiteBLM parking lot, another 3 miles down the loop.

Great Dispersed Camping

Awesome dispersed camping, a little sheltered from the wind up against the hills, with great views and killer sunrises. Lots of spots, just keep driving out the road till you find one you like. Watch out for rattlesnakes.

Amazing Spot

This is one of my favorite spots we’ve camped! This particular spot is at the base of the mountains and had a large flat area perfect for our Sprinter, a fire pit, and large rock formation great for climbing. We even had some prong horned sheep near us on the mountain. The sunrise and stars at night were unreal. It was easy to get to, a long dirt road that splits off from the Bonneville Speedway road. The road is washboard but not bad at all in comparison to a lot of them we have been on at other sites. There are a lot of spots on this same road in both directions.

If you have dogs with you, this was also a great place to have them off the leash and play fetch since no one was around.
