Great campground. But.......
Got in late made reservations for the wrong day. Maintenance guy came and found us a place for the night. Which was perfect. It's a big park and if you go at night good luck finding your spot. Had to move the next day. Right next to the playground. Oh joy.! But I was able to park my truck and motorcycle trailer in the field across from our site so we could see it. The office staff was trained by the military straight up by the books. If you haven't left by 1045 they start calling you. A little pricey at 65.00 a night. It's in the woods and it's dark. 13 miles to Branson.
Hit or miss
There were some good spots, but there were quite a few bad ones, so if you haven’t driven through and know what works for what you want, you could be disappointed. Our campsite was ok but only because we allowed my brothers longer trailer to switch spots with us; there was no way it would have fit on the gravel pad with a really steep drop off.
All that said, we might come again. It’s a good location and the other campers were friendly and the spots not too close together. You just don’t really know what you’ve got until you get there.
No an “on property” campground
Because they have Silver Dollar City in their name I thought we would get extra perks like at Santa Clause, IN, or Disney property. Not so here. They have transportation that runs with all other traffic to and from the park and regular admission hours. Campground has lots of shade trees, but also lots of hills and drop offs so you could be camping with the edge of your site a steep drop down hill.
