I stay here alot. I have been here longer then your supposed to be. I don't think they mind because I am here during the week and go to a basic site on the weekends. The lake is beautiful. The most beautiful sunsets and electrical storms. It's quiet. The only hookup is electric for me or camper. The water and dumpstation is on your way in and on your way out. The showers are big and many. The sites are all big and plenty of space between. Easy to maneuver any vehicle. The camp hosts at Arkansas point are great. They have a big school bus that belongs at Woodstock, they both fit their home and are the nicest people you will ever meet. My dogs got away from me once and she was helping me chase them down. You can park on the beach and let your dogs run and play a bit. During the week it's pretty empty, but on Friday to Sunday it's packed full.there is fire pits and tables with covers at every site. Huge cliffs behind the park with trails to bike or walk for miles or walk to the top of the cliffs( did it once thought I was gonna die when I got to the top). My only negative thing about the park is along with the 36.00 a day camping fee, it's an additional 10.00 per day parking few per vehicle. That included my rv, my truck, my trailer and my motorcycle.that makes it 75.00 a day camp fee per day. Makes it a little pricey. But if your just a truck camper or rv car it's not so bad.
20.00 a night. The spaces are big with fire pits and barbeques at every site. Trees cover every site so your in shade all day. The hosts were very friendly. Walk to the swimming beach and boat ramp. The showers are huge. But it's dark don't go out at night without a flashlight. I got lost looking for my rv, walked around and around. Nice motorcycle ride around the lake. The only stores are gas stations and 1 dollar general so stop before you come here. Poplar bluff is only 12 miles away.
Got in late made reservations for the wrong day. Maintenance guy came and found us a place for the night. Which was perfect. It's a big park and if you go at night good luck finding your spot. Had to move the next day. Right next to the playground. Oh joy.! But I was able to park my truck and motorcycle trailer in the field across from our site so we could see it. The office staff was trained by the military straight up by the books. If you haven't left by 1045 they start calling you. A little pricey at 65.00 a night. It's in the woods and it's dark. 13 miles to Branson.
This is one of the nicest parks I have stayed at. Right off the freeway but far enough back you can't hear traffic. 32..00 a day. Dan and Debbie's are great hosts. They make you breakfast and bring it to your RV in the morning. The entire property is maintained A plus. There is antiques all over the entrance of the property. 2 oversized washers and dryers, 2 dollars each. The showers were very clean. There is a river that runs next to the property so you can fish or take the boat or just sit there. It's very peaceful. They have no set check out time. If I wouldn't have had a timeline I would have stayed a week there.
Crater of diamonds area. Small little park right inside of town. 36 a day. Started at miners camp, scary place. Hosts were so nice. Grocery store not far. Shower water smells funny but it will take your first lawyer of skin off. No laundry that I saw, but I didn't ask.
