Nostalgic

Deeply wooded campground high-up on a ridge overlooking hills below. We chose to stay here for several days while we toured Branson and Table Rock because of the nostalgia of the vintage facilities, and we were not disappointed. This place has the feel of old campgrounds before modern facilities and accommodations were demanded for everyone’s 80ft rig. It feels more like you are camping at a state park in the 1960s. There are a wide variety of spots that are spread out and separated by old pines and sharp changes in grade (some campsites are literally 20ft higher than the adjacent campsite). The pool, game-room, restrooms, showers, and camp store are right out of summer camps from years past, complete with wood paneling. We stayed in spot 34 with our converted sprinter van and had no issues getting in or out, or fitting in our spot. Prices are very reasonable (better than KOA) if you call ahead. We would definitely stay here again. Please don’t change anything!

Spacious, forested lots

Great place, and getting better.

Pull through lots are very large and spacious. Trees are everywhere. Quiet and very peaceful. Pull throughs are in the back, furtherest from the highway. Back in sites are smaller than pull throughs , more of a traditional size.

This place has new owners as of June 2021. It was a bit rundown previously. They have made a number of improvements already. Fixed the pool. Replaced some of the septic system. Installed a water softener. They are currently working on the WiFi system. Not all pull through sites are currently covered by WiFi. The new owner told me they were scheduled to resurface the road in the campground. It definitely needs it. It’s not good. There are numerous pot holes (filled with crushed rock) and rough spots. With that said it is passable. You won’t damage anything, just a bit rough.

Service was very good. They were very friendly and helpful. Good advice on what attractions to see. They went above and beyond what you would normally get. If you need something, just ask. Top marks for service!

Bathrooms are clean and well lit.

Finally, it’s a convenient location. Near to Silver dollar city.
