CAMPER SUMMARY PRESENTED BYFord

Dewey Bridge Group Sites, near Moab, Utah, is a fantastic camping location right on the banks of the Colorado River. This place is perfect for those who want to soak up the sun and enjoy the great outdoors, with options for both tent and RV camping.

The sites offer a mix of shaded spots among the cottonwoods and open areas for sunbathers. Visitors often mention the clean pit toilets and the laid-back vibe, making it a great stop for a night or two while exploring the nearby Arches National Park. As one camper noted, “You can dip in the Colorado River. Just be safe.”

While there are no hookups or drinking water available, the natural beauty and access to the river more than make up for it. Great campsite

$20/night or $10 with Senior Access Pass. Either sites along the River or shady spots among the cottonwoods. Clean pit toilets. No other services. Good place to stop for the night along the way to Arches.

An oasis by the Dolores

Just past the recreation area on the left heading north, there is an additional campsite on the right past the old Dewey Bridge. The site contains several designated sites as well as dispersed camping by the Dolores. We had an amazing time camping here during the week, but it got quite a bit busier when the weekend hit. We enjoyed our experience. 4x4 required, no hookups!

Wonderful place

This is a great place to stay with access to the river. The only disappointing thing is that there are limited sites and they fill up quickly most weekends. And if you have a camper that is larger than 25 foot the dispersed camping areas are very limited. I really hope the BLM has plans to expand this campground by at least 5 sites in the near future as I think they would still be full often.
