The Cove Palisades State Park
Located in the heart of Central Oregon and encompassing the Deschutes and Crooked River Canyons, The Cove Palisades State Park is a popular year-round destination for camping, watersports, and hiking. The Cove Palisades State Park offers two campgrounds amidst a scenic high desert canyon reservoir.
The A, B and C Loop campground is open mid-May through mid-September. The E loop campground is open mid-February through October.
MAKE SURE YOUR SITE MEETS YOUR CAMPING NEEDS
Before reserving, please become familiar with the particulars of your chosen site, including the size of the tent pad area and the type of equipment that you may bring to the park. Site details and tent pad sizes can be viewed online by clicking on the site name.
All vehicles must display valid OPRD pass or permit that covers parking fees. Daily permits available for purchase on site. You can also purchase a 12 month pass, a 24 month pass or provide a current camping receipt.
Park is open for day-use and lake access year round. Campers must have valid camping pass clearly displayed in vehicle.
Reservations do not cover the per vehicle day use parking fee. All vehicles must display valid OPRD pass or permit that covers parking fees. Daily permits available for purchase on site.
Camping Seasons
- Crooked River campground (E-loop):partial loop open in the winter, whole loop open March through October, campground is 1 mile from the lake.
- Deschutes campground (A, B, C-loops) and moorage slips: open mid-May through mid-September, campground is half mile from lake. Extra Vehicles: Each campsite fee includes parking for one vehicle. Campers may have a total of two vehicles per site; extra vehicle is $7 per night. The extra vehicle fee will increase to $10 on July 1, 2025. Alternative parking available only for 2nd vehicles that do not fit on parking pad. Additional vehicles will not be allowed in the park overnight. Overflow parking is available for boat trailers that do not fit in the site or on the parking pad.
Pets must be physically restrained, meaning you must be holding them, holding onto their collar, or have them on a leash no longer than six feet. Pet Information: Pawsitive Oregon

Directions
The Cove Palisades State Park is located in Culver, approximately 132 miles and 3 hours from the Willamette Valley. Note: The E Loop Campground is the first road to the left after passing the park entrance sign. Loops A, B, C, Boat Moorages and the Group Camp are located 5 miles from the park entrance through the canyon, across the Crooked River Bridge. **From Portland:** Take US26 E through Mt. Hood National Forest to Madras. Upon entering Madras, stay in the right lane then turn right on SE 'D' St (Hwy 361). Stay on Hwy 361 until entering Culver then follow park signs. Turn right on C St. Turn right on Feather Rd. Turn left on Fisch Rd which turns into Frasier Rd. Turn left onto Jordan Rd which will bring you into the park. **From Salem:** Take OR-22 E/Santiam Hwy SE for approximately 80 miles then slight left onto US-20 E/OR-126 E. On the east side of Sisters, turn left onto OR-126 E to Redmond. OR-126 E becomes SW Highland Road in Redmond. From Redmond, use left 2 lanes to turn left onto north US-97. Go approximately 17 miles then turn left onto OR-361 S/SW for 3 miles to Culver then follow park signs. Turn left on C St. Turn right on Feather Rd. Turn left on Fisch Rd which turns into Frasier Rd. Turn left onto Jordan Rd which will bring you to the park.
