We came in Friday and camped until Monday for Labor Day. We were close enough to the restaurant & bar where there was restrooms. We camped with 2 other couples all together. There were Lawnmower Races Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. Was amazing to see them race fast and had some scary wrecks. The crew there were focused on safety and everyone walked away from their wreck in one piece! Campsites were spread from behind the buildings all the way to the pits. They have bathroom in the restayand bar, but also have portapotties for use. There is a store mile down the road that carries everything!!
We found this spot coming the back way from Lake Billy Chinook. It is a nice camping spot. We just had our tent and it was perfect! We could hear the wildlife hustle and bustle as we were tucked away in our tent. We will definitely make this a regular spot for us! And next time we will bring our fishing poles!!
Its Lincoln City- the smaller sister city to Newport. Nice calming views and beach for days! They have the glass globe drops throughout the winter season and if you find one you keep it!! We didn't find one but we always have fun looking!! It is Oregon coast so it colder than California coast, and usually raining! So extra coat is a must!!
It amazes me that this place is so far from other towns and yet it is the destination for so many people to spend vacation! Once we arrived it was plain to see why! Such an broad range of people to make up the area!!! Definitely coming back!
Nice spot to spend the day! Can fish off the dock. Beautiful scenery. Has designated fire pits. Spectacular day to sit and do nothing and bask in nature's beauty.
Camping is allowed Saturday nights when there are races. Races are $10 for adults. On race nights there is concessions and beer garden. Also a souvenir shack with hoodies, shirts, hats, stickers, hot wheels, ear plugs, flags etc. Concessions sells candy, burgers, hot dogs, beer sausages, popcorn, chili, nachos, chips, soda(Pepsi products), water, Gatorade, coffee, hot chocolate, otter pops, few more things. Beer garden has basic beers-coors, hefeweisen, Budweiser, sinister from 10 Barrell. And Mike's and Seagram's. Even have non alcoholic odouls. Every night there is racing it is a fun night and tons of action!! Free to camp overnight just have to be gone by 11am.sunday!!!
Best place to stop for pitstop. Nice clean bathrooms and area for stretching legs and to check rigs for anything. Just down the road there is an amazing place called Huckleberry In and has amazing giant maple bars!! You can often see people skiing and snowboarding down the little bunny hill near bathrooms. Gas station near too! Also coffee shack to get your caffeine fix!!
Nice boat ramp for a small reservoir. Has bathrooms. Have to pay to use boat ramp & Park. Decent fishing some of the time. Seen some massive(21&19 inches) trout be caught here! Has some bass and sucker fish. Has a spot against the back side of reservoir where people like to cliff jump into water.
Overall nice small place to fish-water is for the most part clean for swimming too.
Perfect secluded spot. Larger area for everyone to come join! Trees for shade and relaxing. Nearby trails to find mud holes 😁 great time all around when we go!
Everyone local loves Going to Green Ridge! Far from.civilization. and it isn't one specific destination! As it says Greed Ridge. It's a huge area of green!! Popular for wood cutting and hunting. We like to camp there there are some amazing views there! And trails that could get you lost for.days! And trails that lead to the most spectacular viewpoints!!
It is a decent camping spot. Very secluded and you will miss it from the road if you aren't paying attention. Lots of wasps of you don't keep things covered. But where can you go with no bugs. Haha we had fun like we always do! Kids liked to climb the trees!
My husband surprised me with a trip to the Painted Hills! The views are amazing!! The little hikes to lead you to even more spectacular views are definitely worth it!! Loved it and can't wait to go again!!
There are a lot of trails nearby! Hiking, Bike and atv trails. There is also access to the "road" that leads to the top of Grey Butte. It's not much of a road more like a widened rough trail but we made it up in our truck! The view.up top was spectacular!! The road is only open certain time if the year-i believe March thru September. Definitely worth the drive up to top! Makes you feel on top of the world-or at least Central Oregon 😁
We picked here for a spot of the moment camping trip. We love this place because it's close enough to a store if we forgot anything we can make a quick trip and get what we need. This trip was great! Sunny days!! And could hear the coyotes howl and yip to communicate with each other! Amazing to hear!
Aamzing rock faces. Many climbers use many walls here to test out their skills. Great to get family pictures taken too! Nice trails to get a workout. Near terrebonne which has stores. Nice place to go for a hike and get away for few hours.
Nice place to launch a boat and fish or tube. Has an amazingly helpful fish cleaning space! Can even catch fish off the bay. Kids had fun!
Right next to hatchery, so you can see every step of a fish! Baby until they take them to stock other ponds/reservoirs etc. So interesting for.kids to show them each growing stage for the fish!!
Great for.fishing and rafting!! Newly paved road down to launch. Easy to get.to now!
