Juniper Breaks was Great!
This campground was great! Easy to get to with gas stations and shops about 15 min away so you can pick stuff up if needed. The spots are well spaced so you don’t feel on top of your neighbors. Bathrooms are not far from any spot. Tons of trails to the water lots of places to explore.
Our one complaint was that our back in spot put the door to our trailer on the opposite side of our fire and picnic table so we had to awkwardly walk around every time we went inside. If we had planned more ahead we would have chosen a spot that was not like that but it’s worth checking before.
Very nice campground
We stayed for one night in early October, at site 159. Level parking, and although we were somewhat close to our nearest neighbor to the east, it seemed like most sites offered privacy. As other have said, most if not all sites have covered picnic tables which are certainly nice in the Colorado sun. There are very nice paved trails for biking or walking. Well maintained facilities overall. Don’t expect shade at any of these sites. If we return, I would try to stay at some of the sites farther away from the entrance and closer to the water. Overall I definitely recommend this campground.

Great campsite
It was a great campsite, have to use fire pits provided. Alcohol is allowed pets are allowed on leash. And most camp sites are within walking distance to the water. Kids loved it! It was cheap to reserve a site ($20+) and entry fee is like $8.
