Wish I could rate higher

We probably had unrealistic expectations given the reviews about homemade pies and breakfast. There was none of that. The owners said they had been ill. It seems to have been quite an ordeal for them, and it has been going on a good while. I'm sorry for their misfortune. The owner who was able to come to the door went out and brought us little frozen pies that were supposedly homemade. Well, she tried.

The good was that the site was level and the utilities worked. It was quiet. The bad was the bathrooms/showers badly need paint, renovation and a good cleaning and the whole place looks pretty sad and in disrepair.

There are very few RV places in the area, and this place would be OK in a pinch, but it's best to lower expectations and hope the owners feel better soon. They seemed like nice women.

Barking neighbor dogs

This little roadside park was nice enough for a one night stay. There were houses next door to the south and East each with a dog in the yard barking nonstop at our dogs. Also there were some goats head burrs in the grass that got into the pups paws

Great Spot to Stop

The hosts are amazing and the pull through spots are level. The hosts made breakfast and dessert a couple times, even let us stay an extra night because of the weather.

Good Stop Over for travelers headed N/S

Great stop over when traveling. The hosts were very friendly. They put on a burger/BBQ for guests the night I stayed over. Site are level with good connections for RVs. WiFi was in and out, I’d say fair at best. Restrooms definitely need some work, just as the photos show. Plenty of hot water at the showers.

Vega, Tx-Reasonable price and updated utilities

There isn’t anything special about it but it was clean, quiet and has everything you need. Appears utilities have been updated and pull through sites. Easy hookups, no cable. Closest town with anything is 30 miles east. There is a restaurant across the street that seems to be busy but we didn’t go. Bathroom and shower had a code. There is a laundromat but didn’t go. Manager was super friendly and very accommodating. I gave it 3 stars because I think it needs updated. But it was perfect for us for 3 nights. All RV’s here are newer- would we stay here again? Probably not since it’s so far from everything.

Sweetest people!!

The people at Walnut Rv are precious. We pulled up really late with our young children planning to tent camp. But they gave us their rec room to use instead because it was cold. Bathrooms were clean and clean warm. Tom was a great host and made sure we had breakfast the next morning and helped us pack up our gear. We will definitely be going back when we’re traveling in the area!

Great spot

Nice small park with full hookups. Gravel, grass and walnut trees. Didn’t use the facilities, but the managers are very friendly, offering snacks, coffee, etc. Even made us plates of turkey and mashed potatoes on the Thanksgiving holiday after we had been driving all day.

Great Overnight Stop

This is a great campground with pull through and back in sites. It's not the most luxurious campground, but good enough for an overnight. The staff is prompt and courteous. Easy access to I40 and Amarillo.
